We use the delicate word "underperformed" to describe Cowboys & Aliens' box office. "It's so depressing, that word," Craig replies with a chuckle.

"Look, it did pretty good. It underperformed in North America where all the judgment is put, but it did pretty well around the world. I really did get to fulfill a childhood dream. So I got a lot out of it."
But it didn't, it did worse in the rest of the world.
Domestic: $100,240,551 57.3%
+ Foreign: $74,581,774 42.7%
Whatever he is smoking it is good and he must be sharing it with the reporter cause if I can find this out in 30 second what is the reporters excuse?
Exactly. We are dealing with psychotically sick, artistically demented, enthralled in denial, losers.
I don't think he knows honestly. I think his agent or handler or whatever they would be called preps him for a question and he babbles it out on command.

Obviously this was one of his softball interviews setup by the studio because the reporter surly wouldn't embarrass themselves with not following up on Daniel's assertion 70 million dollars is more than 100

What I am bothered by is McDaniel's claim he gained weight to play Mikael Blomkvist, while he said he essentially starved himself for Cowboys, and this summer he looked so scrawny it was more embarrassing than usual. To me he seems to be trying to take credit for more method acting street cred than he deserves.

The other aspect I though was weird is his slight distancing himself from Tintin, 'it was two weeks two years ago', that is a slap in the face of people who actually like this Tintin.

All this said I am curious how Tintin does in the USA and how Dragon Tattoo is received by the audience. The buzz is it is a darker movie in a festive time, will it sell?

Even i dont think Craig could or would do 8 Bonds............i mean even with 2 year intervals he would be 54 i believe in 2022 for Bond 28.

He would look too old..........personally i think, assuming Bond 23 is a hit, he may hang around for say 2 more films, but i cant see him ever doing 8.

I must admit i sometimes think MGW is getting a bit senile! :)

MGW is a fringe thinker these days. BOAR-bara tells him what's up, what's down, what's right, what's left, etc., and he goes along with it. The nonsense spewing out of the Eon dolt is laughable now. Cr-egg's career in show business won't last past 2012 after his bombs, so to insinuate 10 more years with him as Bond shows me MGW is ready for nurse Ratched. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/e ... atched.jpg

He is almost 70. After giving it some time to settle in I don't think he was serious I think he will say for the next Bond is he is around. Problem with Craig is he is controversial anything said about him one way or the other feed some group probably why he was a bad idea . I think is Craig looked and acted like Bond close enough to one of the previous Bond like Cavell he would be better accepted by everyone . He is who he is and a little too damned serious. I don't think Bond would be interesting with him for 3 more or 5 more movies.

A friend of mine went to the Mission:Impossible premiere last night in LA and she told me the movie is BEYOND amazing. She said it was absolutely fantastic. Seen as she's also a major Person of Interest fan, I trust her judgment COMPLETELY. I am seeing photos of the ongoing premiere event on Twitter right now (In NYC) and it's MAYHEM.

In other news... Sony is only no.3 in the studios' sales this year. And it's no.3 being WELL behind the first two (Paramount and Warner Bros). Paramount has a projected 1.9 billion, WB a projected 1.8 billion and Sony 1.3 billion... which is WAY less than no.1 and no.2 (reminder that the .3 in a billion figure ain't peanuts LOL).

FBF, I am seeing MI4 Saturday in NYC unless it snows here in IMAX. What is so special for $19.00 for IMAX?

Yes. Looks menacing. Nolan did it right with no humor, all serious. Superman in 1978-1980 could have taken a lesson from it. I want NO humor at all in The Man Of Steel. I want serious action with absolutely NO political undertones whatsoever.

http://i2.cdnds.net/11/44/618_movies_ja ... fall_2.jpg Yeah right, 8 films with THIS redundant rodent as Bond? In what universe? His stage name should be Putrid Palmer. What is the red apple on his jacket indicative of?

http://www.blackfilm.com/read/wp-conten ... UK-010.jpg Just look at her gaze at Cr-egg at the press non-conference. Hungry lust for the dalmatian. Meryl Streep will play her when her biography is done in another universe of reason.

Both Batfilms from Chris does have humor in some parts, but none of them cause any distraction to the storyline.

The 2 Bats have no Otis like in Superman I and II........no stupid Lex Luther types like Hackman either. Nolan knows his onions but his artistic imprint on the Man Of Steel awaits to be seen.
