MP, will you shell out good dough and see Skyisfullofit at the theatres?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Nope. There are a lot of movies I'd see before I forked over $10 to see Skysh!t

Here's an alternative to Skyf*ckers besides Twilight and all other non-Bond movies. And that is shopping for next year's Black Friday. What do you think, BJ?

That's 3 weeks after it opens here. By then, it's done already.

Next year's Black Friday is 2 weeks after Skyf*ckers. The week after Twilight 4.2....we have 47 Ronin (starring Keanu Reeves), Gravity, Parental Guidance, Rise of the Guardians, and The Silver Linings Playbook.bjmdds wrote:That's 3 weeks after it opens here. By then, it's done already.

I'm sure we'll be the first on here to see it too......is there anyone on here who will actually go and see Skyfall at the cinema other than me and EA?English Agent wrote:I'am sure Sweeney and i will be first to view Skyfall, and let the rest of you know what our views are on the film................so far, there's so much secrecy on the film i dont have any initial impressions......except that i do expect it to be a very unusual Bond film, whether thats good or not remains to be seen. One strange thing is that EON are making this film in total secrecy, there doesnt even seem to be a production blog on the internet.

I might. I felt obligated to see QoS since I am contributing here, to know what it is we are talking about and define what it is that is objectionable. However if turns out Eon really screws up MP, Q, or M, (they already messed up JamesThe Sweeney wrote:I'm sure we'll be the first on here to see it too......is there anyone on here who will actually go and see Skyfall at the cinema other than me and EA?English Agent wrote:I'am sure Sweeney and i will be first to view Skyfall, and let the rest of you know what our views are on the film................so far, there's so much secrecy on the film i dont have any initial impressions......except that i do expect it to be a very unusual Bond film, whether thats good or not remains to be seen. Luckily, if I have the same job this time next year.I'll get to see it at a Preview ( that's how I watched QOS, never paid to watch it)
But have to confess.I don't have really that much interest in it, It's not like the older films when I'd read every mag that had even
a snippet of info on the new film,or an interview with one of the stars etc. "With this one, I feel nothing "

The last 2 Person of Interest were very good.If TV can be this good why is Bond so terrible?

Yeah, I've never paid to watch the Craig movies, not even paying rentals. They were always delivered by an indiscreet assassin friend or two. Some friends say they really like Craig as Bond, but they are not 'serious' Bondians. Those who do share the view that Bond is supposed to be in a class by himself (and in himself) realize that the new 'Bonds' have little of the distinction of the REAL 007. Instead of a character with some sense of fun, we have a sourface; dits for the music.FormerBondFan wrote:Watch the bootleg one instead.Blowfeld wrote:I might.

I don't know...QOS has left me seriously unenthused about Bond, but I've seen every Bond film since Moonraker at the cinema, and so not going would seem odd to me.The Sweeney wrote: I'm sure we'll be the first on here to see it too......is there anyone on here who will actually go and see Skyfall at the cinema other than me and EA?

The Girl With The Dragon RATATOUILLE (Roasted French vegetable platter with Hummus and Pita bread) is being advertised on NY television a lot so there will be NO excuses for it's failure due to under promoting this poorly timed DC release December 21.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I saw CR at a theatre but seen as a friend owned it and it was a private screening I didn't pay obviously. So same here, I never gave them ONE CENT of my money for the DC movies. I went to see Dalton's ones and all the Brosnan ones. (I wasn't old enough to see the previous ones at a theatre! LOL). Sadly you're right about this Bond turn having little of the distinction of the ACTUAL 007. We have the cruciferous vegetable (Trademark BJcommander0077again wrote:Yeah, I've never paid to watch the Craig movies, not even paying rentals. And seen as I don't remember having crossed paths with you on here before, WELCOME

Because Bond doesn't have JJ Abrams as a producer and director. Or Jonathan Nolan as a creator/exec producer (which also means script writer for TV). Or Jim Caviezel as the (majorly) badass and stylish lead. Or... you get my gistThe last 2 Person of Interest were very good.If TV can be this good why is Bond so terrible?

Seriously, more people here should watch Person of Interest, it's a great, great show, and really appropriate for Bond (or spy in general) fans.

What is going on with The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo? I just saw Sony is hoping mad The New Yorker is breaking Sony's 'embargo'
It was a positive to mixed review, so what is the problem are they expecting a bunch of bad reviews?
It was a positive to mixed review, so what is the problem are they expecting a bunch of bad reviews?

Denby's review won't be online until Monday morning, but New York Post film critic Lou Lumenick has said it's "positive to mixed" with special notice given to star Rooney Mara. "You can't take your eyes off Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander," Lumenick quotes Denby as writing.
The issue for Sony is now trying to control the remainder of critics who have seen 'Dragon Tattoo' already. Andre Caraco, the executive vice president of Sony Pictures publicity, wrote the aforementioned email to critics on Sunday morning and promised repercussions for not only the New Yorker, but any other critics who break the embargo.
"This is a bleak but mesmerizing piece of filmmaking; it offers a glancing, chilled view of a world in which brief moments of loyalty flicker between repeated acts of betrayal.''
Denby has problems with the source novel: "At heart, of course, the material is pulpy and sensational...There are certainly lurid moments, but I wouldn't say that Fincher exploits the material.''
