Shocking casting if this is true. EON are losing their way.
Blimey...........i've got a strange feeling that Bond 23 is going to be a very unusual Bond film!

EA
It's obvious EA that Brocolli has NO regard about the traditional MUSTS that belong in a PROPER Bond film. Forster, Mendes, and whatever other useless liberal Hollywood director they hire in the future will destroy this franchise once and for all. At this point now, I agree with FBF. The hell with this franchise. Bond 23 I hope loses a TON of money and if Brocolli is not terminated as Eon's puppet master, I want the saga to end! I have zero interest in ANYTHING related to a Cr-egg/Brocolli film now. All I want is firings, as Mazer suggested. It MUST be done at the top level.

Naomie Harris is rumoured to be playing Miss Moneypenny as has been discussed here, and at the other sites. I have nothing against her taking on the role. I am however appalled that some members of other Bond sites claim she is wrong for the role purely based on her skin color.
I'm more concerned that a blond vertically challenged fool is playing the role of James Bond.
Surprisingly this site is not Mi6, but the spin off site Bond & Beyond.

Whilst it is still mainly a Craig love fest, it is worth a look.

It's not the skin color. It's the misinterpretation now by the green vegetable in all aspects of what a traditional and successful Bond film is all about, from casting the wrong actors, to hiring the wrong directors and script writers, to undermining the USA and UK governments, etc. Bond was all about an action film with fantastic gadgets driven by a male orientated theme by Fleming. That's it in a nutshell. To feminize Bond, and have him belittle his own government, and to attempt casting to be politically correct for the sake of racial inclusion, all deviates a Bond film from it's sole purpose, that being entertaining escapism, as DEFINED by the Bond creator, Ian Fleming, not Barbara Brocolli and MGW!

I think that is Stocks new site. I didn't think he'd say something like that.
I do not think Naomie Harris would be good as Miss Moneypenny nothing to do with skin color, it be like this Simon Russell Beale being brought on as Q.

Zoe Saldana, I'd follow here any where and she is just so damned sexy she'd be the perfect filirt as MP.

Is it just me or does Craig looks like he had some more work done?

I have this feeling something very bad is about to happen in the Bond world. If Craig quits it would be good over all but bad for the short term.If they truly make this a crap fest it may kill Bond for good.I don't know it's a nagging feeling the floor is about to drop out.

Dear oh dear.
I wondered how long it would be before the racist card was used. I for one have an inssue with her ethnic background, and no I am not being racist. In the novels Moneypenny was white English. To choose someone who has a different ethic background, whether she is black, Chinese, Japanese or Indian, is totally wrong casting if EON are trying to remain faithful to the novels.

If Moneypenny was black in the novels, and EON chose a white woman to play her, I would have equally the same issues.

Why cast someone who doesn't fit with what Fleming originally wrote?

Well Bond wasn't PO faced tosser either.
I actually think it is a case of skin color over merit if this is true. EON wants to add a shock value (what there is of it) to reemphasize this is not your daddy's Bond (or Ian & Cubby for that matter). Ohh so edgy... Why not a gay male MP? That is so edgy it hurts!

It might be out of left field because Harris didn't seem to have any idea what role she might be up for and she was talking her fool head off. If she had read MP lines you'd think she know it, then VTAK is about the depth of her Bond knowledge which makes you wonder why she was so quick to trash the series she clearly has no idea about. Knowing Harris body of work I do not think she'll make for a good MP, there are other better qualified actresses, black or no who would be better for the roll.

Speaking of racist I wonder how old Benny is doing? He could be a decent guy if the mood took him. You aren't form Australia are you Mulli?

It makes Craig's small facial lacerations method of acting painfully clear. In what other action series do we get a man who's face looks as if he lost a fight with a small cat.

Absolutely correct again Sweene. MP is white......period, end of story, and racism has zero to do with it. Those that don't care, enjoy the destruction of Fleming's world of Bond. The green vegetable wants to rewrite Fleming's work and now I truly believe she is appalled by the content he wrote in his books and is attempting to redefine Bond in her image, as if she has a clue! Without her daddy's franchise, she would be a nothing, a nobody, and she does not realize that. SHE is the sole problem now and MUST go!

Harris is a great actress(and I'm amazed at how many people think she quote "can't act!" unquote.) If she wants to ruin her career by appearing in what is going to be a half baked excuse for a Bond movie, than so be it.

Again, I have no issues with Harris as an actress. I'm not questioning her talent. It's just pysically she does not tally with what Fleming wrote.

I still actually have issues with Craig being blonde too - that will never change. He should have died his hair black for the role, because that is how Fleming described him.
