Latest weather in NYC is a disaster here with 30 inches of snow and freezing 25 degrees. One of the worst snows in memory. Sanitation plows are getting stuck on roads. A real mess. MP, bring some San Diego weather here already. I hate winters!

Nice to have an insider approach  Always appreciate it. But really, Weisz as catwoman? The mind boggles.

What about the earlier suggestion for Bond girls? She was a contender, and I wouldn't be opposed to her as a Bond girl, at least she's got the looks of one... even though she doesn't have much of an "edge". Now that she's with Craig though, I don't think it would be a good idea. Couples on screen almost always translate badly (few notable exceptions, but rarely works well).
Latest news says she won't be in it. The film is shaping up to underperform BB2.

It's not always sunny..we're supposed to be having rain Tuesday going into Wednesday. Maybe it's all my reading about snow elsewhere, but I dreamt it snowed at my house! in my dream I woke up and there was a ton of snow-it was really cool, actually!)never would happen in real life!)

Yesterday I watched Salt, I was surprised it was actually a decent movie. More over it is more or less a love letter to DAD. The influences of DAD are clear. Looking back what I consider odd is that I have seen several decent Bond efforts in the last 2 years but there hasn't been an 'official' James Bond movie made for nearly a decade. We've had two 'official' James Bourne movies featuring some short burke

Maybe Eon does have to worry about the lengthening delay, if the studios wake up and realize they can make Bond films on their own without the Broccoli family as long as they do not use the name, then who really needs James Bond. About all the Broccolis have is the name, they threw away the theme, character, gadgets, Q, Moneypenny, and opening gun barrel. From Sherlock Holmes to Salt there are Bond movies happening and they are doing decent business at nearly half of what a 007 movie cost.

I've never seen "Salt". Now I'm curious. I freaking hate Angelina Jolie but given what you say, I'll have to check it out. LMAO at the official James Bourne movies. That is the sad sad truth :(

I wish it was that simple... it's unfortunately not. And I WANT to see James Bond with everything that he has. Thing is, does Barbara have children? I don't think so, right? Which means anyway she will have to sell at some point. Doubt she will leave stuff to nephews or nieces.

There are three different versions on the disc I don't know which one we watched, directors cut maybe. It begins in N Korea with Salt being tortured, there was a similar scene to the prisoner hand off and no luggage Hotel walk-in. I see it as very inspired by DAD although it does have its own ends. It will be on TV soon enough I don't know I'd bother to rent it if you can't stand Angelina Jolie. Normally do not care for her movies however she said she wanted to be Bond and this was Sony's attempt at it, in the end it set her up in a possible sequel and a driven mission which they didn't do for CR. They were suppsoed, they may even claim they did, honestly they didn't.

I would've thought someone in the industry like yourself would know that Ale.
Btw, where is it you work? What's your job?
Getting back to Babs, you seem to forget that EON is run by her and her step brother Michael G Wilson.
So any changes would need to be approved by him. Also Wilson's sons David and Gregg have taken the family path into the Bond films, having worked on several of the films.
You'd be a wise gambler to put money on they're being groomed to take on the family business at some point.

So long as Babs is alive, she(and Mikey) are running EON. Unfortunately. Doesn't surprise me that her kids are involved in the family buisness.

It's not Babs kids, it's Michael Wilsons kids.
Though if I had to pick Babs or Michael to steer the EON ship in the right direction I'd pick Michael. Though I get a feeling the reboot idea may have been his.
As I've mentioned in the past he had the idea around the time of TLD to do a young Bond type story, but Cubby vetoed it.
Seems strange that CR was a reboot and origin story.

If CR was an origin story what was a 60-year-old Daniel Craig doing in it?

Ouch. He looks really old, especially when he's bundled up, like in those pictures with Rachel Weisz. Really really ages him.

I am a journalist and a script-writer. I'm sure you'll understand I don't exactly go around public forums stating where I work and with whom, just like nobody sensible does. I've worked at Bloomberg as a journalist for almost 7 years, then moved on to other outlets and in the past 3 years I've also been working with the TV industry in the US. And that is all I'll say. Too much already. Btw I find the above questions and more over the implication you seem to give to them very out of place. You having a differing opinion from mine is no excuse for asking personal questions or implying that I'm incompetent despite what I do, or worse, I don't do what I say I do. Yes, that's how that sentence and those questions came off to me. I don't exactly spend my time researching Barbara Broccoli's private life. Had she been a gorgeous man, I may have been more interested in knowing more  (though frankly I'm not curious about people's private lives in general). Since she isn't, I really don't care about her having or not having siblings. I don't think she does, but I'm not so well-informed on her past as to be sure that's the case. And I don't frankly care.

Wilson is not her, so if as I think she doesn't have kids, I stand by my opinion that she'll sell at some point. Especially in such a situation, I can't see her handing over her quota to the Wilson family. I've seen a lot of a very famous family feud go on in first person.. it's extremely unpleasant and never looks the way it actually is. So if this is the current situation, I even more so think she'll sell to someone else.

He and Weisz are close to the same age-she's a few years older than me-but he looks like her father in that picture of the two of them together. That's not me being unkind,it really is what that looks like. :?

Don't you know? Playing the ultimate James Bond, the sole and only James Bond after Sean Connery. _.// And, since when does a rookie Bond look the age he's supposed to be? Since when does James Bond look like James Bond is supposed to?

I don't think he looks like her father but he sure as hell looks way older than her. While in reality he isn't.

But, time for a better suggestion for Craig. A genius girlfriend of mine just said this after watching the Cowboys & Aliens trailer.

"They can cast him as Barney in the next Flintstone movie"

That is TOTALLY and completely his perfect role. Showing off biceps in the Barney vest and playing him. OMG Barney. Totally him.

Wilson's cameos are a joke. If he did not have the company, who would even consider such a dolt to be used in a film?

Turns out Rachel Weisz was born in March 1970.So she's right inbetween Craig and I age wise.
