Thus, leading to the caveman approach you wisely pointed out as being the only alternative. That doesn't make Craig a bad actor; just wrong for the role of James Bond, but most of us new that anyway..............................................................................................you nailed it buddy

The Green Hornet trailer is on line. Seth Rogen ruins it and most comments I read say the same thing. He is as miscast as the Hornet as Craig is as Bond. It just won't work. In regards to the time passing for DC, it already has. He is yesterday's Bond news with a career showing a downward spiral.

I think I found someone who is more wooden than Daniel Craig(makes him look positively animated!
) :Jada Pinkett Smith. I watching her show Hawthorne yesterday and it's god.awful.

Yeah, I wonder where her career would be if she wasn't married to the biggest star in Hollywood.katied wrote:I think I found someone who is more wooden than Daniel Craig(makes him look positively animated!) :Jada Pinkett Smith. I watching her show Hawthorne yesterday and it's god.awful.

His kid is awful as well and I cannot believe 53% of the Karate Kid's audience has been female.Kristatos wrote:Yeah, I wonder where her career would be if she wasn't married to the biggest star in Hollywood.katied wrote:I think I found someone who is more wooden than Daniel Craig(makes him look positively animated!) :Jada Pinkett Smith. Anyone watching the Wimbledon tennis match which is currently 54-53 in the last set.....

Bring back Bond!
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
She definitely got where she is because she's married to Will Smith. Her show is so unrealsistic but gets the thumbs up from lots of nurses who think Hawthorne is realistic. His kid is awful as well and I cannot believe 53% of the Karate Kid's audience has been female. She is putrid.

Well Harvey, many before me have "nailed it" as well in terms of the "DC Debacle". People on this site knew to activate the self-destruct on this Blofeld volcano lair of mess that is Daniel Craig, Sony, EON, the reboot, etc. from the very beginning, but I thank you for your praise.Harvey danish wrote:Thus, leading to the caveman approach you wisely pointed out as being the only alternative. Harvey I think between 2006 and 2009 the entire world lost touch of reality (I am not only referring to the DC Debacle either). However, with the dawn of the new decade people are starting to wake up again. Daniel Craig was never suited for James Bond. All of the supposed film experts, critics, the Roger Eberts of the world, etc. need to admit this once and for all.
It was Mazer R. who pointed out the caveman approach and I reiterated the notion. This is all Craig is capable of doing. Some people have not woken up yet (again not just in regards to James Bond), and there are people who think that Daniel Craig is going to be able to emulate Connery's performance in Goldfinger. Thus, sending the franchise into a new "golden era". People who think this way need to get a hold of themselves.

I'm fine if Craig goes on to have a successful career as an actor, but I don't want him to continue in the role of 007. I wish EON would have the same opinion as you do bjmdds, but I am afraid they don't see anything wrong with the course they have set.

He hasn't really had success with his non-Bond movies.I'm fine if Craig goes on to have a successful career as an actor, but I don't want him to continue in the role of 007. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Well the good news is that Craig is still Bond. He hasn't been dropped. He hasn't stepped down, or been replaced. There's not even any signs of him being replaced.
So as with CR and QOS, it looks like you'll just have to hang in there.
But if Craig were to leave right now. Who does EON cast in the role?
Seriously, I'd like to know who the anti-Craigs would hire? Not looking for 'anyone is better than Craig' answers here either.

I watched it Carl. It's like one of those old boxing matches from the 1890's that goes on for 200 rounds.carl stromberg wrote:Anyone watching the Wimbledon tennis match which is currently 54-53 in the last set.....

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Nash, I quite like Damian Lewis(I think I've mentioned him on other threads). He'd have to dye his hair, though. I think the reaction to a ginger Bond would be
I can just imagine the tag line: "This time around, 007 has no soul".
(They could call it the Living Daywalker!

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I don't know about anyone, but there are lots of suitable candidates, and speaking for myself, I'm not particularly fixed on any one person. I'm guessing Henry Cavill is the most likely replacement at this stage, and I'm fine with that.Captain Nash wrote: But if Craig were to leave right now. Who does EON cast in the role?

I've heard it said(and I know he's popular with some here)that Michael Fassbender may be too popular by the time they're casting Bond #7. I hate to say it but I think that's very true. Not just saying that because he would not be my first choice for Bond, either.
.
I was reading the comments on a Jeremy Northam interview on Youtube and someone commented saying that they didn't know he had been considered for the role of Bond..and something to the effect of "the Bond films have too much action in them nowadays"(meaning that there's too much going on and it's hard for some people to follow-which is a complaint that quite a few people had about QOS)

Damian Lewis would be my choice for bio pic about Steve McQueen. Not necessarily Bond.

Without question McQueen is who they modeled Craig after. After try and failing at 3 or 4 other attempts to move the image of him beyond wimpy leftest pacifist actor, who hates guns, water, blisters in the sun like an infant and can't drive worth a d**n.
Michael Fassbender, I've not come across much. Our python buddy is convinced of his bona fides from the Quentin Tarantino WWII flick last year. In that one he was the antithesis of what Bond was intended to be. The kind of Brit Fleming was trying to avoid Bond being stereotyped as in the early development stages. Maybe he can pull off a better more Bond like portrayal. I don't see it but maybe.
When they recast I can see them going young, late 20s, maybe a actor in their late 30s who looks younger. Unlike the old man leather face Craig. Problem with a Hugh Jackman is they are only good for a film or two films. No good in my book but then they went whole hog for Craig who was only good for one.
Although a Bond franchise less strict to the Cubby family hierarchy could have a one off Bond every now and then while continuing a regular series. Which is the kind of approach they should have adopted for Craig (a one off), but it also would open up the series as well as adding to its longevity. Trying different approaches without compromise to the main brand, difficult to pull off however Bond is one of the few franchise that might.

I don't get Fassbender,but that's just me.
The one-off thing is a good idea..It'd get nixed by Babs and Mikey so fast it's not even funny.Shame, too.
