Iron man 2 has so far kept it's momentum up keeping Robin Hood back in the dark ages where he belongs.

Think about this IM2 cost less than QOS has a longer run time better special effects bigger supporting cast and has made $174 million dollars the first week. Why is it again Bond movies can't do this?

Once again, I'm not sure I'd want a Bond with that sort of box office if the price we pay is more CGI, less sex and more cartoony violence.

The IM team would make a better Bond movie not spending half of what QOS cost because they wouldn't do all that CGI or making a flying suit. The IM team has better actors and better cast and exotic locations. Time to rethink how Bond is made because these people know how to make movies people will go to and don't wast half the resources thrown at Bond.

Most reasonably minded people will agree the budgets for Bond have been too big since Tomorrow Never Dies. I do not think we would like the Iron man treatment for Bond. Iron Man made good comic book based summer action movies those same methods wouldn't be appropriate for Bond.

Of course I can't defend the recent movies as being one hundred percent of what is Bond supposed to be either. So you might have a point.

IM was a franchise nobody thought would be big. It wasn't as well known or popular as other Comic books (or James Bond). Just saying there is waste with how Bond is made. They don't do more with less they do less with more.

Craig gay Bar rumour

Post by Blowfeld »

I do not care about this...but..
It is going to be in the news..so reluctantly
It's not every day that James bond strolls into a gay bar, as he did in Venice, California.
(May 17th, 2010)The L.A. Times reports:

Roosterfish"Come nightfall, just down the street at gay bar Roosterfish, 'James Bond' star Daniel Craig was spotted with a male pal, enjoying cocktails and a cover band. Dressed in a black suit, Craig greeted numerous fans and even attempted some dance moves."

(May 18th 2010) Kenneth in the 212 has more: "Whether or not he is a closet homosexual I don't know -- although my source SWEARS he saw Craig making out with his friend on a street corner, and he WAS seen showing pictures of his cat to a fellow audience member. But this much is for sure: Daniel Craig has definitely been outed as a closet '80s-music lover, as he joined the G80's -- an all-gay-male '80s band featuring Matt McLaughlin (aka Bearlinda) on vox/guitar, Tommy Keene on lead guitar, Jim Laspesa (The Muffs/Dave Davies) at the drums and Chris Freeman of Pansy Divison on the bass -- on the chorus of the Split Enz classic 'I Got You.'"

He's always been the gay friendly Bond. I wonder if he knows he isn't coming back so feels safe going out to gay clubs.

wouldn't bother me if he were gay or bi. But it would be extremely ironic for the people who said Jackman was too gay to have hired a man who was.

Hugh is very in touch with his feminine side-not a bad thing. 8)

Jackman is the ideal choice as of today to re-reboot the saga.

I would like to see what Jackman could do as Bond. Right now he is the only actor that might bring the Bond series back on track, he might even manage to continue the series without rebooting. If they should go back to the quasi time line started with Dr No after all it lasted for 40 years. Jackman I believe could drop in a worth story technically a successor to Die Another Day and not confuse the audience. The series can go back to ignoring the time line as before. Everybody is happy :) :happy spin:

But the time for Jackman is fading fast he is at the right age now for a near middle age in appearance seasoned, professional Bond, before much longer he will be too old then they will have to reboot once more this time casting a young actor to start from scratch opening the series to another 20 years of stories.

Nope..haven't been watching..but I might start..it might get the taste of some of the really awful season finales(Grey's Anatomy was especially dreadful) out of my mouth.
