Re: The Last Movie You Watched
Mystery Science Theater 3000 the movie, and This Island Earth at the same time as that is what the gang were watching.

Ooo, that's a good one. I'd love to see it digitally restored on the big screen one day.stockslivevan wrote:Once Upon a Time in the West

Watched Back To The Future Part 2 on TV last night. I hadn't seen it all the way through in many years, and had almost forgotten how entertaining the BTTF trilogy was (provided that you suspend your belief during the scenes set in 2015 - wow, looks like a lot of things are going to change in the next 6 years!)
I can't believe that at the time of it's release, critics complained that the plot was too confusing, though. If anything, I thought the film suffered from the opposite problem, getting bogged down in way too much exposition, particularly in one unbelievable scene where Biff Tannen explains the entire plot to Marty McFly simply because Marty tells him that he knows about the sports almanac.

A classic film. ITV seem to show all the Back to The Future films in the afternoon at the weekend once a month (along with the Police Academy films). I think they have run out of money. Surely someone will remake Back to the Future soon.Kristatos wrote:Watched Back To The Future Part 2 on TV last night. I did see a bit of Hell Drivers the other afternoon. It is a 1957 film starring Stanley Baker, Patrick McGoohan and Sean Connery! It had been on for about an hour when I saw it was on, which was annoying.
Bring back Bond!
Re: The Last Movie You Watched
Ugh, I hope not. I do remember talk of a Hell Drivers remake, though. Wonder what happened to that. It's been many years since I've seen it, but from what I recall, it's a film that might actually benefit from a remake, since whilst it was enjoyable enough, it was no classic, and looks fairly dated.carl stromberg wrote: Surely someone will remake Back to the Future soon.

I typed in "Back to the Future remake" into Google and there were a number of articles on a remake, including this one:

Something to look forward to!

The Back To The Future franchise should be left alone, and Michael J. Fox is the ONE AND ONLY Marty McFly.

What is it with all teh remakes? total recall, bill and ted, predator. what's next the Godfather? BTTF should be left alone.
That reminds we watched it about month ago walmart had the DVD on sale. Good fun. Part 2 and 3 I have on netflix but don't care much for them.
new movies I've seen The International, I don't get it. a complete waste of time. The movies goes nowhere and takes its time getting there. every bad ass they are after turns in to a wussy and the most helpful guy you ever met when cornered
Gran Torino, 78 year old Clint Eastwood. We love this movie! Not a kid friendly pic but a wonderful story. think Dirty Harry retired and living in bad neighborhood, full of foreigners. The neighborhood became bad over 30-40 years, most houses are run down and area is depressed. the movie starts with a funeral for Clint's wife and the name of the movie come from his prised possession a 1972 Gran Torino he helped to build at the Ford Factory when it was new. His car somehow became in vogue and a classics car coveted by everyone from his grandaudghter to the gangs in the hood. I hated the car (my uncle had one on of the POS Torinos) and we almost didn't rent the movie, but eastwood got us to give it a try:)
Hell we even like the song Eastwood wrote for the movie

I really hope they don't remake Back To The Future. The idea is so wrong it's not even funny.

Watched the premiere of Happy Feet on the Disney Channel last night (strange, since it's not a Disney film).

Last movie I watched was Pink Panther 2. Steve Martin does a serviceable job as the inspector but I would rather be watching Peter Sellers
