Most delete themselves after the rental time is up. I can't imagine many paying the fee to own it on their hard drive.

I bet nothing feels better than deleting Quark.

(BTW I do not support the idea of pirating the movie. Albeit's not worth much. Rent it, borrow it, win a game tournament to get it for free. )

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! QoS spanked by tween movie

Normally I wouldn't take Solace in this but it was a terrible movie and worked hard to earn this humiliation.
Twilight selling 5.6 million units during its first eight days, according to trade publication Home Media Magazine.

The vampire romance took the crown from "Madgascar: Escape 2 Africa," which has sold an estimated 5.3 million units since its February 6 release, according to Home Media research.

Twilight has a diehard fan base that will *definitely* buy it on DVD. which is the reason it's outselling Madagascar 2 and QOS by a HUGE margin.

It just came out on DVD yesterday, but same with Slumdog Millionaire. Not a genre movie but it's another movie that is still playing at movie theaters even when it's on DVD. I don't think that happens much.

Twilight hasn't out sold Madagascar 2 by wide margin. Yet. It probably will before the April is out.

What it does show is DVD isn't a weak a format as the BDA (a Blu-ray association) has supported the supposition of. It also shows Friday and Saturday release dates can tap very a strong market. Tuesday releases may need to be reexamined.

In a related story I gleaned from an online article from a local paper somewhere about couple (and others) buying dvds. This particular couple had switched to Blu-ray for most new releases but were very finicky about what they bought. Preferring to see the movie first before purchasing, based on a bad experience with a blind buy.

Long story short the husband asked the wife if he can buy Quark, neither of them has seen it and she makes an exception in this case and told him he could because of the price.

Boy is he going to be in hot water five minutes after the movie starts!

My prediction? Twilight, Madagascar and Slumdog will sell well.QOS will be limping behind them, saleswise.

Lady Gaga should sing You Only Bourne Twice IF Craig stays on. It would be a perfect followup to Keyes disaster.

True that...by the time YO Bourne Twice rolls around, the then-flavor of the month singer will get shoved down everyone's throats as being the perfect person to sing the theme .

Cruise has his scientology beliefs. Eon has become a cult with their new "Bourne-again" Bond mantra. Where does this mindset end?

Too right. EON will continue to force the bad plots and the bad theme songs on us till we're rid of Babs 'N" Mike.Unfortunately. :| :|

And you see that happening when?
It's not likely to happen anytime soon that's for sure. Cubby was in his eighties and still had an involvement in the proceedings.

BJ,EON are scraping the barrel bigtime.First the recycling of plots and the outright stealing of others(Bourne, anyone?).

That, combined wth the mediocrity of the films in general(especially the theme songs) can lead me to only one conclusion:The Bond films are becoming cr*ap.And it's all down to the production.

Not quite bj. Take a read of this...

Summit Entertainment's "Twilight" remained the top home video seller the week ending March 29, despite a stiff challenge from a pair of newly released blockbuster theatricals. The vampire fantasy held onto the No. 1 slot on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert chart for a second consecutive week, after selling an additional 2.6 million copies through the weekend. The film vaulted to No. 1 on the previous week's chart after just a single day of sales, in which consumers snapped up more than 3 million units, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Challengers "Quantum of Solace," from MGM, and "Bolt," from Walt Disney Studios, finished at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Both films generated more than $100 million in theaters, with the newest James Bond film grossing $168.4 million and the Disney animated feature $114 million. "Quantum" was new in stores; "Bolt" had been released on a Sunday, so a small percentage of its sales were included in the previous week's tally.

"Quantum" did, however, top both the Nielsen VideoScan Blu-ray Disc chart and Home Media Magazine's video rental chart for the week. The Blu-ray Disc edition of "Quantum" accounted for 28% of the title's total sales.

Bolt finished the week at No. 3 on the Blu-ray Disc chart, behind "Twilight," and at No. 4 on the rental chart, behind Universal Studios' "Role Models," which after two weeks on top slipped to No. 3.

In the digital download arena, demand for "Twilight" also was unsurpassed, with the title coming in at No. 1 on Apple's iTunes chart. "Quantum" debuted at No. 2, and MGM reports half the purchases were in HD.

Despite what you may think, it's not quite what you thought. As for a display being moved to the back of the store, yes they do that with any display. It's not a personal grudge against QOS or anything.

The reason that they moved QOS to the back of the store is that there are movies more worthy of that space than QOS.

Judging by the display, it isn't exactly selling well(probably the reason it was moved)Plenty of Blu Ray, Special Edition and bare bones(no special features) for the taking...or not.
