Hey BJ, you know that Connery and Brosnan curse too right, so why should Craig be singled out?

Craig has a CHRONIC pattern from day one of doing this from the time they removed his life preserver coming off the boat. I still think of Skywalker's favorite picture of that. Brosnan and Connery do not use foul language as their standard speech mantra.....CRAIG DOES.....

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Since when did "realism" become the number one concern in a Bond film? Anyway, I don't mind Bond getting a little bit bloodied after a fight, but I don't want him going through the whole film looking like he's just come out of a pub in Toxteth wearing a Man U shirt. One of the things I liked about the trailer, as opposed to the teaser, was that it had more shots of Bond in a tuxedo, looking as much like the suave Bond of old as is possible with Craig in the role, whereas most of the previous publicity shots were of him looking grubby and battered. Most un-Bondlike.Arthur Brain wrote:I personally think that a bloodied Bond makes the films seem realistic as this is something we can all relate to in everyday

Too true about Craig's potty mouth. I'm no prude, but it makes him seem more than a little uncouth.

You do not promote a franchise such as this with every sentence uttered out of your mouth containing foul language. I realize the VH1/MTV generation could care less judging by their freak show awards shows, but it is not a becoming trait for the lead actor portraying Bond, IMO.stockslivevan wrote:So what?

ESCAPISM, not REALISM, is what a Bond film is to me, and many others. Craig's Bond looks like he needs a psychiatrist as well as a dose of Prozac to help him cope with his evil deeds.Kristatos wrote:Since when did "realism" become the number one concern in a Bond film? I still don't see what the big deal is. It just sounds like pointless babbling such as when Lazenby was sporting a beard when promoting OHMSS and everyone made a fuss over it. Of course, you'll berate anything Craig related whether he curses or not. In that case, I've got a song here that I think you will HATE, not because of your taste in music, but merely because it happens to be in a Bond film starring Daniel Craig. Sharpen your claws yet?bjmdds wrote:You do not promote a franchise such as this with every sentence uttered out of your mouth containing foul language. A Coke commercial has music that could possibly be from the Jack White/Alicia Keys song, only without vocals.

I have to say, I do like that old school Led Zeppelin sound, that's pretty much Jack White for sure, unless this isn't really the song.

The problem with Craig, is that he is answering to Broccoli and Wilson, who, judging by the trailer for POS, don't know what to do with his Bond.I don't want to be Nostradamus and say Bond 23 is going to be a disaster, but with those two running the show, it kinda looks that way.

It'll be true of Bond 23.Just wait. I can't wait to see what sort of silliness EON comes up with for Bond 23.

Last time someone told me to "just wait" was in 2006 before CR came out. I think it was from our buddy BJ.katied wrote:It'll be true of Bond 23.Just wait.

Apparently EON reads the Bond messageboards because the rumor going around now is that the plot for Bond 23 is going to be Bond in New York. It's disturbing that EON would actually listen to anything that fanboys(fan persons? since some of them are female) have to say and actually acting on them.

I read the report on MI6, but nothing about EON reading message boards. Where are you getting that from?katied wrote:Apparently EON reads the Bond messageboards because the rumor going around now is that the plot for Bond 23 is going to be Bond in New York. It's disturbing that EON would actually listen to anything that fanboys(fan persons? since some of them are female) have to say and actually acting on them.

Obviously they think that's something the fans want *cough* lame *cough* I shudder to think what other stuff people are posting that the Idiot Broccoli and her brother are taking notes on.It's bad enough that Bond is Bourne lite now.
