I think it looks great. Much better than the original teaser trailer.
The film looks like it is faring up to be exactly what I hoped for. I just hope the comedy and gadgets are to a minumum though, and that the action is not too OTT and unrealistic. By the looks of it, they've made the action sequences to look like they are for real - that it hurts!! Exactly what I have been crying out for over the past god-knows how many years.

Fleming's Bond is back!! 8)

Does anyone have a link to a downloadable avi file of the new trailer?

You must have missed Tim's laser tyre slasher!

D*amn the "more humor" story has a half life of its own. That has continued to be perpetuated even though it was debunked a long time ago :? Just look at how beserk people went at the *suggestion* of it. It was comment that was taken all out of context and spun by fanboy websites like Cinematical.

I like this trailer much better than the first one, but I have two complaints. First, the obvious one about Craig, but you already know my views on him by now. Second, the villains seem very campy, almost to Dr Evil levels, which might provoke some unintended laughter from the audience. I don't mind a bit of camp myself, but it seemed oddly out of place considering the overall tone of the trailer.

http://sify.com/movies/hollywood/fullst ... d=14755757 I don't blame her, do you? I guess Craig's "youthfulness" as a rookie has been exposed by one of the cast no less. No different than Moore or Brosnan with their Bond girls. "IF YOU PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG, IT'S STILL A PIG"!

I agree that this main trailer is far better than the teaser trailer.
Regarding the villian, i think its too much to make a judgement of him
from only a handful of seconds footage..........rather than campy the guy
seems more eerily spooky with his open wide non blinking fixed eye look.

I guess it's like the difference between a terrorist and a freedom fighter. People can be looking at the same thing and still see something different.

The villain seems a bit "been there done that" even if he doesn't have some sort of obvious defect.

Poor Bourne fan confusing Fleming with Donald Hamilton. One thing is very clear this is not Fleming's Bond and they are taking a further piss on his memory. Not to mention Cubby's memory.

Craig looks awful in 80% of this new trailer and it is not an exciting trailer, it is one that will be forgotten long before the movie that they paid to watch is over.

Ah yes, forgot of that. Quite out of place, at least it was only five seconds.

And in a film that EON thought might have been a Roger Moore film until fairly close to the shoot, IIRC.

Why not actually give them the link instead?
QT Trailer HD 480p(50.7Mb)
QT Trailer HD 720p(124.2Mb)
QT Trailer HD 1080p(178.6Mb)

At least now they don't have to feel dirty
Well as dirty. They'll still feel sullied after watching Matt Helm in the Bourne Senior trailer

It isn't even close to being better than the teaser trailer. And definitely Bourne lite.Yep. I can see how the "I want POS to be like Bourne" crowd will eat it up

From the doc, MGW said that at the time of writing the script they had no Bond actor locked in the role and Moore already retired so they decided to write it more straightforward and not as campy as they did with Moore. I suppose he meant just less gadgets and quips, and there turned out to be not many in the final result.

Then again there is that magic carpet scene, which thankfully was deleted.

Stop the presses!
The headline is "No love scene with Craig makes McDowall happy"

Actress Rachel McDowall is happy she doesn't have any sex scenes in the upcoming Bond movie Quantum of Solace because actor Daniel Craig reminds her of her father

The quote is "No I don't, unfortunately. Actually, I shouldn't say that because he looks a bit like my dad, so that's a bit weird."

It doesn't come any worse. Don't forget this is from the girl that doesn't ruin quark. (According to leaked reviews Gemma Arterton credited with ruining Quark, giving her far too much credit)

That they are going back to the old formula(somewhat) is rather telling.
