I've noticed a few more snipers myself in my travels around the internet. They tend to pick up on the Bourne thing and the fact that Craig was probably too old to do Casino Royale. If they've finally reached CommanderBond then at least a small modicum of sanity has been restored to the world of Bond.

Brain is within his right to think that(onviously I don't agree).

And of course there won't be any dissent over at the place that can't be named

Like i said before, they will drink the Craig kool-aid long after other boards have accepted that it's Ok to dislike him.

Not for any real reason. He just likes making giant cardboard arrows and moving them around.

Yes, and I can now post comments critical of Craig and/or CR on afjb without being shouted down, which wasn't the case a year ago.

Well it isn't helped by the fact that on threads about casting villains, directors, etc. there's a tendency for fanbo..I mean posters to suggest people that are associated with the Bourne franchise :?

If QOS is an even bigger success than CR (which I reckon it will be), I can't wait to see what the reaction will be on here.
It will probably be: "It has been another success, but not a Bond movie, and Craig is still not Bond".

I'd imagine it will probably be a success with the masses as they seemed to love that new action hero played by Craig. :)

I'm one of those people who would like the cinematic Bond to return (and the Fleming one as well).

Anyone looking forward to WATCHMEN? I wasn't interested at first but after going through the first chapter I'm intrigued enough to buy the whole graphic novel and the film seems more interesting to me now.

Still like Craig?

So.....you at least admit to fancying him before. What has put you off him recently then? Is it because you may not be accepted around here?

My advice would be to read the graphic novel first!

I intend to. :) I went through CHAPTER ONE via "animated audiobook" on iTunes. I found the story intriguing although the male voice actor performing as a female role was quite jarring. That's why I'm intending to to straight to the source before the film comes out and see how it all turns out. So far it looks promising.

An "animated audiobook"! i've never heard of one of those before.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen film was a bit of a mess. V For Vendetta was Ok, but it had some changes from the original, and lacked some of the charm of the depiction of the post nuclear holocaust (although Britain had no bombs actually dropped on it) 1980s British fascist state of the graphic novel.

I have not managed to read The Black Dossier yet.

"Animated audiobook" as in it features every pallet from the comics in animation complete with text bubbles while at the same time it's an audiobook because it's voiced by one person who does all the characters including the female. A weird concept.

I watched CR again about a month ago and my disliking of Craig as Bond seemed to mellow a bit. I'd not watched a Bond film in quite some time and the Mrs suggested that we watch Casino Royale. Following the film, I reflected on why I had been so critical of DC and was he really as bad as I had made out. I and a close friend of mine went out for a few beers a couple of days later and I mentioned to him that I had again watched CR. My friend, who is not against DC playing Bond and actually enjoyed CR, mentioned that perhaps it was time to embrace the new direction and accept DC as Bond.

The next day, I was chillin at home looking through the TV channels and as luck would have it Octopussy was on. It was great watching Sir Rog in action, wearing trousers so high, even Simon Cowell would be impressed. His ability with the ladies, composure under pressure and dashing looks suddenly dawnwed on me what a fool I'd been even comtemplating Canvey Island's favourite drink wobbling midget gas fitter wannabe, being anywhere near good enough to be Bond. What the f**k had I been thinking!!!

Thankfully I have come to my senses.
