Haven't seen it yet. Should be going with work this coming friday. Very excited, after hearing many good things about TDK.
Mamma Mia doesn't stand a chance against it.
Still it's a pity that Heath Ledger can't see the success of the film, and the praise he's obviously earned because of his performance. A great loss to the acting world.
Now, what big movies do we have between now and QOS?
A couple of people I know who've seen TDK, both commented on the Bond trailer at the begining. Both giving it a thumbs up, based on what they saw. As far as I can tell, Bond is the next big event movie this year, and the new trailer will have whetted the appetite of moviegoers well.
Batman will win the box office race, but Bond might not be that far behind. We'll see.
The early buzz for QOS is good, and will only get better towards october / november.

The members here like the James Bond series.  I think many of the members in other places might as well go and post on a Daniel Craig forum.
Funny that, because I get the distinct impression many here are actually Brosnan fans first and foremost....

I think that's just FormerBondFan. I mean he lists Brosnan's films as his favorites and obsesses about killing Craig at the Art forum.

Are you sure FormerBondFan isn't Deanna Brayton?
If you read any posts from FBF, be it here or on Alt.OO7 then it's all , Brosnan is Bond. Babs isn't going to get away with it. Craig must die.
Just a thought of course.

Atherton admitted that at 5'7" tall, when she wore high heel shoes, she was taller than Craig and that it looked strange having the female lead look taller than Bond. She admitted Craig had to wear shoe lifts for any scene where she wore high heel shoes! Just great, a Bond actor requiring lifts in his shoes to compensate for his lack of stature.

Didn't think this one would take long to get a mention on here.
The lifts were used in one scene, and what difference does it make? Seriously.
It's not like the first time this has happened in a movie.
You could say that the acting talent in the Bond films of the 90's was toned down to compensate for the lead actors acting range to.

Assuming that picture is correct, would someone care to add Craig to that too, assuming he is only 5'10 (I thought he was 5'11?) to see the comparison.

It's a joke! Gemma is starring with Gerard Butler in a film soon: I bet Butler won't have to wear shoe lifts.

Craig just looks short - he's stocky and has little arms. But then he looks short because he is!
Bring back Bond!

Eon had to deliberately cast short actors to compensate for Craig's reduced stature. It's not just his ridiculous "Alfala of the Little Rascals" haircut, it is his overall lack of a suave, handsome, class gentleman that he cannot pull off no matter what they dress him in or surround him with. I would like ET to ask Craig:"So, is it true you had to wear shoe lifts to compensate for your short stature?". This guy is as far from Bond as Barbara Streisand is from being a Conservative Republican.

If Cubby's still around, he would have cast someone like Bale or Butler.

When his name was first linked to Casino Royale I distinctly remember him saying in an interview that he was friends with Broccoli. I have no idea if he knew her before she'd seen Layer Cake though.

That 'Gemma Arterton' eh............ever since filming started, she couldn't stop giving away all the production
secrets during filming!!
How did she get a job as a secret agent?

A question to our American friends about 'TDK'.

We all know its had rave reviews, mainly concerning 'Heath Ledgers' performance, but apart from that... what
else has made the film such a success?
