MI6 is better than DCINB (although I must say I do appreciate this board with one exception).

MI6 is 'different', not better, than DCINB, and it also is 99% skewed in ONE direction Stocks, you know that.

The "sheep mentality" excuse IMO is just dumb, why stop at MI6? Everyone else seemed to love CR and Craig. Now BJ you're probably gonna say "Oh, but Flashbacks for a Fool flopped" but I'm not talking about Craig, I'm talking about Craig as Bond. Even Katied liked Craig, before she decided to change her opinion hoping to fit in here easier.bjmdds wrote:MI6 is 'different', not better, than DCINB, and it also is 99% skewed in ONE direction Stocks, you know that.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Reading Marc Forsters comments about QOS, i'am pleased with what i've read so far.
He says he is giving the film a similar style as was used in the earlier Bond films of the 60's and early 70's...
hopefully this means we wont have the modern style of super fast editing which makes a film hard to follow
on the eyes, and has ruined many potentially good films of recent times.
Currently the film is being edited now........and this is the important time, and i wouldn't like to be in their shoes.
To be responsible for putting together $200 mil worth of thousands of yards of film must be very daunting.
Despite what some people have said here......QOS could end up nothing like the Bourne Mimicry as cited.
Anyway in a few days we will see the trailer, and will be able to give more logical reviews.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
The pro-Craigers here have been widely tolerated by most here. Even bj and myself have a detente thing going on, and I'm more than happy to continue the friendly discussion with most who are on the same page. Of course I do not live in hope for the female troll who lives here. Ignorance is bliss, and it'll drive her wild. Believe me.
So tonight we went to see Get Smart, a really enjoyable family comedy. Plenty of laughs, plenty of action, a really good time was had by all. Steve Carrel is brilliant as agent 86 aka Maxwell Smart, but the supporting cast of Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson and Alan Arkin all bring alot to the movie. Some very funny gags and lines. I think the late great Don Adams would've approved. After the let downs we've had this year it's good to see one of the films I wanted to see deliver.
On a side note a trailer for Mamma Mia was shown. All I can say is not even on dvd. Poor old Pierce isn't really getting alot of luck post Bond is he? I can almost gurantee he wont be striking box office gold with this.

Flashbacks DID flop..and I seriously doubt it'll get any sort of official release here..."straight to video" anyone? DC was supposed to do a movie called I,Lucifer but apparently *that* never happened, and that looked like another non-winning idea.

Don't worry about Craig's non-Bond films, we all know he'll be fine in QOS...and that's what counts mostkatied wrote:Flashbacks DID flop..and I seriously doubt it'll get any sort of official release here..."straight to video" anyone? So you have been moaning about people judging QOS on the basis of a trailer - yet say Mamma Mia is s**t on the basis of.........a trailer!Captain Nash wrote:On a side note a trailer for Mamma Mia was shown. Typical MI6/CommanderBond "Brosnan basher".

No I Lucifer, another potential Craig artsy gem? How shocking. This guy is CLUELESS about what he thinks is artful and he has NO career whatsoever outside of Bond, NONE, be in in the USA or even his home UK.katied wrote:Flashbacks DID flop..and I seriously doubt it'll get any sort of official release here..."straight to video" anyone? Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
How do you know he will be fine without having seen the film Brain? Is it intuition? Well, when others feel Craig will 'stink up' the role in TBM as a Damon clone, that's intuition too, isn't it?Arthur Brain wrote:Don't worry about Craig's non-Bond films, we all know he'll be fine in QOS...and that's what counts mostkatied wrote:Flashbacks DID flop..and I seriously doubt it'll get any sort of official release here..."straight to video" anyone? Do a quick search of his name and it reveals that Daniel Craig did a LOT of movies that were in like 2 movie theaters here in the States, and only surfaced on video after he got the 007 role. This guy is CLUELESS about what he thinks is artful and he has NO career whatsoever outside of Bond, NONE, be in in the USA or even his home UK.

Yes 'BJ' it is intuition.............plus millions will flock to QOS....because its a Bond film..........it would have to be an awfulbjmdds wrote:How do you know he will be fine without having seen the film Brain? film with an unpopular lead actor, to be otherwise!!
I'am sure you've looking forward to QOS as well 'BJ' even if you don't like Craig.

I take it BJ is extremely happy about Craig not having a successful non-Bond career and hopes he'll never get a job? So mean.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I am looking forward to Craig exiting the role of James Bond as soon as possible. "Remember, hope, is a good thing"(Shawshank Redemption line), and I hope Eon realizes that Craig's time as Bond is coming to and end, UNLESS Broccoli's $38,000 USA dollars kiss to Craig recently at that auction enhanced his usefulness to her. I also hope Haggis' role in future Bond's is done. Let him go pen another bomb like Crash.

I find him a good character actor for offbeat roles, PERIOD. He is nothing to look at, and mumbles his lines in ALL of his ridiculous films.stockslivevan wrote:I take it BJ is extremely happy about Craig not having a successful non-Bond career and hopes he'll never get a job? So mean.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
It's unlikely Craig will get dumped so soon, and there's a good reason: Roger Moore came back for TSWLM despite that TMWTGG was the worst performer in the series at the time. Anyone would have thought Moore and Bond were done for. Even if QOS doesn't perform well, they'll still stick with Craig. EON has always been loyal to their stars, even Cubby fought MGM to keep Dalton after LTK.bjmdds wrote:I am looking forward to Craig exiting the role of James Bond as soon as possible.
