I am an American..California born and bred...I can see how you might think I was from the UK though..I love anything relating to that culture(music,TV, what have you).

As for visiting the UK..I have. In 1984.And I've been trying to figure out how to go back(just for a visit!)ever since.

Have you seen the recent Broccoli/Craig photo together at a fund raiser where she bid money to kiss him? Any questions now why Craig is Bond? Not to me.

Met an American woman online and moved over here so I could marry her. I still go back to Brizzol from time to time, to visit my family and friends, and to stock up on Ribena and Fray Bentos steak & kidney puddings (funny what you miss when you're a long way from home).

Wonder what her husband makes of this, and whether Craig will be cited as a co-respondent if he divorces her.

He is probably not a happy camper. The photo of the two of them is UNLIKE any of her with prior Bond actors. More here than a contract people. Craig looks more aged by the moment as well, and much smaller in stature, without the beefed up steroidal muscles he 'acquired' for CR.

As in the old saying, DC looks too old to be a young rookie Bond.

You really believe that's how he got the role? You think Mikey G wouldn't have a say in it? Why does everyone, including outside of DCINB, act like Babs is the sole producer who calls the shots? And if only one of them were allowed to call shots then it would obviously be Mikey G who's been producing Bond films since the 70s, and if you wanna go any further, his cameo in GF.

I take it that you had no idea that Craig and his James Bond shares the same birth year. He isn't playing the 28 year old pre-00 Agent that was proposed in 2004.

I did see those pictures of Craig and Broccoli at that evening event, but i didn't post them here as i thought it might anger 'BJ'..............but he's seen them anyway. :D

I must admit Craig and Babs do seem to have a very cosy relationship, for an actor and producer!! :D

Do you also think this is a sign that things went well during the shooting of QOS?

Not even a tip of Craig's finger getting cut off could wipe the smile off his face since he knows very well that QOS will be a success like CR, and with new fans being made by the DVDs and TV airings, who knows, it could be even bigger.

Arthur: If you have only just noticed that Barbara Broccoli has a creepy obsession with Daniel Craig, then I have to ask you where you have been for the last three years!

For Barbara it was Craig as Bond or no Bond film.

Yes............i did know that Babs seems to have a thing for Craig!!!

What i was really trying to say, is that its not often in the film world
for a lead actor and producer to get on so well. :D

Or 'get it on' so well. Do I hear casting couch in reverse? The Brain's 'gray matter' has now figured out Craig's 'role' with Broccoli.

Quite true Carlito. It was obvious to many that there was much more than a reboot and a dislike of Brosnan behind Craig's selection:Jackman, Purefoy, Cavill, Worthington, Owen, Butler.....not good enough for the role of Bond?.....but, of all people, Craig was? MGW shut his mouth and went along for the ride like a good little boy as Barbara and Amy Pascal called the shots.

So did MGW not have a say in the casting or is that an assumption on your part BJ? Let's talk about facts, not gossips.

Yes, we all know that Babs has a thing for Craig......................but there must of been more to it
than that for Craigs casting................i see to remember that Pascal wanted someone else in the Bond
role..............and do you think that Babs has total control on the Bond franchise over her stepbrother,
and what about all the other film executives.

Are they all puppets with their strings pulled by Broccoli :?:

..........and if your assumptions are right, then boy...... you guys might have to put up with DC in the Bond
role for sometime. :D :D :D

ps: dont worry about the Brains 'grey matter' (not gray).......u know i'really don't have 'Arthur Brain'

Exactly AB, I can't see why MGW, who's been a producer since the 70s, would not have a say in anything in the Bond films. I remember Sony wasn't keen on Craig's casting until the film was released then they started going crazy for Craig and went doing stupid things like changing the cover art for Layer Cake. :P It's obvious Broccoli has a thing for Craig (what girl doesn't? :P ) but I don't think Mikey G ever doubted Craig like many try to imply here.

I thought it was strange that Craig was only unveiled weeks before they started shooting. It did suggest that someone was not very happy with the casting and holding things up. And the fact that the, er, mature looking, some might say craggy, thespian, was in the mix with a bunch of actors who could probably portray his son onscreen made it look stranger. Campbell and Wilson both looked considerably less smug than Babs at the unveiling of Craig. I think as far as the Brocoli family now goes, Barbara wears the trousers.

Incredible to think that they couldn't have found an interesting and capable actor with the right look.

By your assumptions? I think it's MGW who wears them, it's a fact that he's been producing the Bond films since the 70s. What makes you think his little sister took it away? Were they playing rock paper scissors on who's choice would get the role? Just because MGW isn't wearing a skirt and swooning over Craig doesn't mean he was less happy about the casting. If he ever had any kind of doubt for Craig then we would have had a another actor. It takes two to tango.
