but i hope we also get some great dialogue scenes as well, or the film will be a little hollow.
I don't think they'd have hired a director like Forster if it was going to be one long 'splodo fest. They'd have hired the Wachowski Brothers or McG. God help us.

A McG directed Bond film would be great - he has a wonderful back catalogue.

Wall to wall action - the usual Bond film: why is Craig still playing Bond?

I would go for Uwe Boll to direct a Craig Bond movie, but as for a Brosnan Bond movie, I would go for someone like Steven Spielberg.

What's wrong with Spielberg?

If not him for a Brosnan Bond movie, I would go for either someone like Martin Scorsese or The Wachowski Brothers.

Quantum of Solace does sound like an Indiana Jones type movie, at least when it comes to action. Raiders of the Lost Ark perfectly presented fleshed out characters while at the same time having one action sequence to another and so on. If Quantum of Solace can pull off something like that I'd be very excited. It kind of sounds like the shift from Dr. No to From Russia with Love: Bigger budget action sequence to action sequence (the last half of the film at least), second Bond film, the organization is more fleshed out, ect ect. The third film is supposed to be unrelated to the last two, just like Goldfinger was with no SPECTRE. Could this be less of The Bourne Mimicry and more of The Bond Mimicry? :P

DCINB: "Not of they have Craig"

Of course you guys say that.

Oh brother. The Wachowskis would be much worse than Lee Tamahori.

'splodo fest. 8)
Is that a Kristatos original? Or am I not reading enough posts on the net?
Either way it tickled me.
I like Stocks idea of the Bond mimicry

If this were true, then Craigs tenure would be a welcome one I'm sure with many fans. If Bond 23 were his GF and Bond 24 was a TB, then I'd be in OO heaven.
But of course if he stayed for a fifth I'd hope it wasn't YOLTesque. More akin to OHMSS.
Obviously that's a long, long way off. Let's just concentrate on QOS first. I like the look and sound to all these action scenes. I'm sure we'll still get plenty of great dialogue in between the 'splodo fest. :|

Can't claim the credit, I'm afraid. I think "explodo", sometimes shortened to 'splodo is common parlance on the net for mindless action sequences where things explode for no reason other than to distract audiences from the absence of a plot, but maybe it was just one comics forum that I used to frequent.

I love the term 'splodo.... it's great!

And I can see the Lazenby group now... yeah!! Not a member yet... membership pending... but for those that don't know... Lazenby is going to be doing a signing in London on June 21.

I did a bit of Googling and the word "explodo" seems to have originated with the Dangerous Brothers (Rik Mayall and Ade Edmonson). Not sure who coined the "splodo" derivative, though. It seems to be in fairly common usage on Internet forums such as this one.

Craig came aboard as redefining Bond. How does action galore, which I like, redefine anything? Craig could be reduced to a semi-stunt man in The Bourne Mimicry, which is far from this character driven reboot we all heard about so much. Jackman or Owen could have brought so much balance to this 'force'. Their only problem was that they were ALREADY established, as opposed to Craig. Craig looks less like Bond in the clips shown so far than he did in CR, IMO.

It seems that Craig is having the moviegoers to take his Mark.

You dont feel your "Daniel Craig is the antichrist" Or "Daniel Craig is the devil himself" comments are a little unfair FormerBondfan?
After all he's just an actor like any of the others who have played James Bond. He's just doing his job.
One final question, will any of the members who are against Daniel Craig have any faith in EON again after he's vacated the role? In some cases it seems that DC is the problem, in some it's EON and in others it appears to be both
I guess the question/s is, or are what will get you back on the Bondwagon? And how long can you hold out for, before you just give up on Bond for good?

There are not enough eyerolling smilies to convey my annoyance with the above post.

Opinions are like a certain part of the anatomy;everyone has one. From what I've been seeing(and reading)about QOS there's no way they are going to have consistency as far as Daniel Craig's Bond films being good goes.Like it?not as much as CR,probably.

Mr 'Formerbondfan'..................to say DC is the antichrist is unfair................just look at the response of the worldwide public to his first film as Bond, and QOS looks like it will be another cracking good film.

I do understand that the change in the Bond franchise has upset some people.

But, hey this is the 21st century now...........not the 1960's.

Things change, and at this present time DC is the man for times.

Blimey!!!
