Just watched OHMSS. This is exactly what I hope for in future films, especially QOS and it so far looks promising.

John Barry is at his top form here, only TLD came close to this score. George Lazenby isn't the ideal lead actor but he showed a lot of promise as the new Bond. I would have gladly had him over Roger Moore because he seemed to have the right idea for Bond. He read the book and did his best (even cried for the last scene before Hunt told him no) thanks to Peter Hunt's superb direction.

This film still stands at #2 on my Bond list, with FRWL at #1. Had you put a Connery in his prime in OHMSS, this would have been my absolute #1 favorite. The action is great and the emotional content is moving.

Me too. It will have to wait until Daniel Craig, Barbara Broccoli, Purvis and Wade, Paul Haggis, Martin Campbell, David Arnold et al are not involved with the series.

Dr. No (1962)

Still a classic, currently in my Top 3. It's always refreshing to watch compared to most Bond films since this was basically a detective film with less action and more mystery. Terence Young deserves more credit than he gets, he literally brought the cinematic Bond to life on screen with Connery.

I watched Dr. No.

Half of you folks probably can't see it as a Bond classic though, because you've got your heads too far up the Brosner's ass, I imagine.

10/10

Die Another Day sucks.
Tomorrow Never Dies sucks.
The World is Not Enough sucks.
GoldenEye sucks.

Nuff said.
