Are you and 'BJ' action fans?................well hope you are as thats what your going to get in abundance in QOS.Skywalker wrote:The temptation is hard to resist.bjmdds wrote:I do not think officially but talk is out there. It appears Craig will be swinging on more vines than Tarzan in the film. He is either climbing buildings, swinging from a ceiling, or jumping off of buildings, from all of the released footage. The farther away he is from the camera and the less he speaks, the more I like it.Arthur Brain wrote:Are you and 'BJ' action fans?................well hope you are as thats what your going to get in abundance in QOS.Skywalker wrote:The temptation is hard to resist.bjmdds wrote:I do not think officially but talk is out there. Maybe...........your be happier then as there will be less time for DC to talk
in the movie.
Just read on 'CBn' that Babs wants DC to do another 100 Bonds...........
blimey that would make 'BJs' head do a 360 degree turn.![]()

I think he was joking. I hope so, anyway, unless you want to see him still playing Bond when he's way too old to be convincing as an action hero, like Sir Rog in AVTAK.Captain Nash wrote:Could Dan be up to play Bond 12 times?

According to Barbara Broccoli it's going to be 100!

That'll be a headache for the networks when the movie gets shown on TV. It'll look pretty weird having at least one commercial break, probably more, before the opening titles!bjmdds wrote:'Supposedly' possibly 30 minutes. 'IF' true, people will not hear the title song for quite some time, which may serve as an intermission to get some refreshments.
True 'BJ'........but DC was not the main star draw in those movies.bjmdds wrote:Craig does not understand why TGC tanked in the USA.![]()
Could it be he has proven to not be any draw here in his non-Bond films, especially teamed up twice now with Kidman USA bombs? In USA, TGC= $70 million; The Invasion= $15 million; Infamous= $1.1 million. http://boxofficemojo.com/people/mostpop ... EAR&p=.htm Of note, in the USA, those ahead of him, at number 91.
Not far from where Whisper darted Moore's Bond's driver on the FDR drive, close to where the twin towers were.Arthur Brain wrote:True 'BJ'........but DC was not the main star draw in those movies.bjmdds wrote:Craig does not understand why TGC tanked in the USA.![]()

Anyway....his predecessors weren't that successful in their non-Bond films.
In relation to Bond, i cant see QOS being anything but a success.........and
that includes the USA.
Despite a somewhat arkward title........i think a lot of people will be flocking to the muliplexes at the end of this year to see this film.
Even if you dont see DC as the ideal Bond, i'am sure you guys will still enjoy the film..............hopefully.................it will be interesting to read the reviews of members here come November.
btw: 'BJ' which state in the US do you live in???

It might, just to continue to 'change' customary expectations. How does Eon, if ever, introduce Moneypenny and Q into a Craig Bond film? Do they meet for the first time, as if strangers? If so, that will totally mock the prior 20 pre-Craig Bond films and place them into another dimension. Or, do they place Moneypenny and Q back with Bond #7, as if they never left? Maybe Eon does not even care, and will just expect the public to believe whatever they place on the screen. Will Craig's role terminate with him going off to gamble and meet Miss Trench in the casino, to end the prequel notion, or will this now be the definitive direction before the Dr. No mission ever took place?stockslivevan wrote:BJ I doubt the film will end up having a 30 min PTS. It's obviously just another rumor like how the journalists believed Craig would play Bond as a homosexual pedophile.
I think TWINE's will end up remaining the longest PTS and that was mostly because it was unintentional. The PTS would have ended after Bond escapes from the Bank in Spain but by Brosnan standards it wasn't enough so they were forced to cram in both the Moneypenny and M briefing scenes before the boat chase in order to keep things linear, at a price. I think they should have kept it the way it was, it would have been the first low-key PTS since TMWTGG.
However, it was the Brosnan era and EON at that time was actually trying to appeal to teen audiences by making a deal with MTV and throwing loads of action that remind them of the popular video game GoldenEye. Anyone remember Brosnan and Denise Richards making an appearance on MTV's Total Request Live?I remember they were driving the BMW down Time Square before entering the set.
What are you babbling about? You don't even know how they will be introduced yet you're prejudging negatively anyway. How consistent of you BJ. Besides, Moneypenny's auto-erotic virtual reality escapade in DAD already mocked the cinematic relationship based on flirtation and mutual respect and affection. But since it's not Daniel Craig, it's alright isn't it?bjmdds wrote:How does Eon, if ever, introduce Moneypenny and Q into a Craig Bond film? Do they meet for the first time, as if strangers? I think you should just accept that this is new continuity. Why does it matter if the events in Dr. No had no relevance in Craig's films? It was never relevant in any of the Bond films besides FRWL, why does it have to for Craig? Because your looking for more excuses to find ways to berate Craig's films simply because he is in them? It seemed like that to me during the anticipation for CR and it still looks like that today with QOS's.Or, do they place Moneypenny and Q back with Bond #7, as if they never left? More than half of the Bond films don't seem to apply to that kind of logic. Do the events in Octopussy depend on what happened in Moonraker? Did Bond stopping Goldfinger from nuking Fort Knox have any impact in the following films? In You Only Live Twice, Bond states that he learned oriental languages yet in Tomorrows Never Dies he's stumped by a Chinese keyboard. Or how about when Bond states he was in Tokyo in From Russia with Love, yet in You Only Live Twice when Henderson asks if Bond has ever been in Japan he replies "never".bjmdds wrote:ALL Bond films are relevant Stocks, and how they are interweaved together does matter.
For the first time, and I find that acceptable. Why not? What's so bad about having them meet for the first time? It's not like everyone knows everyone without meeting them. And didn't you remember that this is a reboot? There won't be a tie in between CR and DAD. James Bond is doing exactly what Superman did in 1986: Starting from scratch. The Batman films had a reboot with Batman Begins, do you think that's an insult to the Burton films? How do you see the introduction of Q and Moneypenny taking place, or do you not care at all? If Craig's Bond eventually meets them, and it is his first time meeting both, will you find that acceptable or not? I want to know how you see the prequel reuniting with the originator,Connery, of the series. How will it be tied in?
How many of the millions of every-day cinema-goers who turn up to see a Bond film at the flicks will be bothered about hard, solid continuity between Bond films?bjmdds wrote:ALL Bond films are relevant Stocks, and how they are interweaved together does matter.
