Although you don't like Craig, you have a good knowledge of Bond and make many good posts. You could find that you might enjoy it.

Nash just wants me there so he can ban me the minute I post an "off-message" opinion (I always imagine the MI6 crew like the early days of New Labour, waiting for their pagers to go off with the latest messages from EON telling them what they're allowed to think).

Not at all. I've read many of your posts Kris, and many of them are well written and level headed. My style of posting here is completely different to my Mi6 face.
But it seems that you have already decided to shoot me down.
Reading the above posts does it make you wonder why the site leaves such a bad taste in peoples mouths?
I come here for a bit of fun, and to give a different opinion from a pro-Craig fans viewpoint. But this is how you guys actually post alot of the time. Is it any wonder that there are those that ridicule you?

You are the only poster here who seems to have a 'bad taste' from being here. The site's name defines it's purpose, quite simple. Most enjoy this forum, be it Jetsetter, Katied, Stocks, etc. Why be in a place that does not provide the positive reinforcement you seek? If the purpose is to post here in a 'different' style than is provided by you on MI6, it accomplishes nothing, and diminishes your insights. You happen to know your stuff in regards to Bond. Be happy where you post. Enjoy being a moderator with Luds, Simon, and his crew at MI6. You have earned it there. 'Red wine does not go with fish' Nash, and some people just do not gel on certain forums either. Opinions vary, a fact.

Looking at the CNB thread, it's good to see some of the 'more' popular members on MI6 having a reasoned and open opinion of this forum.

Not that it matters though.

I wouldn't say I'm *popular* there.I am openly critcal of the moderating style there(save for Cap. that is ;) )among other things.I should have been a Double O the last time they were doing a roundup of people that were getting Double O status.

Whatever. It doesn't mean *that* much to me.Some people over there think that because they have been there longer than someone else that that gives them some sort of special status at MI6.Yeah.Right.

Several people on that MI6 thread have now actually defended this forum. I used to post in other places but the Craig decision ruined them. They ended up having zero tolerance for anyone who looked at Daniel Craig playing 'James Bond' and wondered where Jeremy Beadle was...and the whole point of a forum is a meeting place for different opinions.

JD, your post got a response on MI6 by someone called w7 or something;
Clearly, they perceive themselves as an open-minded discussion forum. But the whole point of open-minded discussion is of course that you are open-minded when starting the discussion. After that, obviously, everybody would make up their minds and we get a fair picture of what everybody thinks. A discussion forum from the very beginning holding the premise "danielcraigisnotbond" is of course, well, dogmatic.

I've got some experience in discussing with fundamentalists. Rather than being up to an open-minded discussion, what they're most of all interested in is: feeling safe and secure in a group of like-minded people. That's why they would perceive their own forum as so very "friendly". And that's of course not a completely incomprehensible attitude.

But I prefer to feel well among people who like to think.

He prefers to feel people who like to think. Fair point. :P These muppets take us far more seriously than we do.

Sounds like it's not just this forum he objects to, but the very concept of people forming communities of like-minded individuals.

Personally I got fed up with those places because of the tiresome sarcasm aimed at anyone who deviated from the party line.

I wonder what the 'w' stands for......

I find it rather strange that he criticises this forum when anyone is welcome to join and express their own opinion, be it Pro or Anti Craig. I'd consider that an 'Open' forum.

But unlike bj, these people actually are funny.
