Jacob Elordi, who was on the Amazon shortlist, is also getting a lot of attention right now. He's playing the Creature in Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein and Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights opposite Margot Robbie. I'm not sure whether that's a plus or a minus in terms of his playing Bond. Neither is a franchise movie, and so shouldn't affect his availability, but they may mean he's too big for Bond. Plus, Frankenstein's Creature playing Bond? The jokes practically write themselves.

Hi everyone, I’m new here and just catching up on all the discussions…
Not sure if anyone else feels like some of the casting choices for Bond lately are really unpredictable. ,
Do you think this will affect the upcoming films or is it just fan overthinking?

Welcome to the forum, datmate. An Amazon shortlist of 3 has already been released - Jacob Elordi, Harris Dickinson and Tom Holland. It's also been reported that Scott Rose-Marsh has screen tested. Holland appears to have already ruled himself out, so it's down to Elordi, Dickinson and Rose-Marsh. There may be other candidates we don't know about yet, but my gut instinct tells me that it's likely to be one of those three, rather than fan favourites like Henry Cavill or Theo James. I haven't seen enough of any of their work to have an informed opinion on which of them would make the best Bond.
