Charlie Higson in The Sunday Times...
I went to see No Time to Die with my oldest boy, Frank, who is 30, and he said, 'That felt like a Bond film made by people who are embarrassed to make a Bond film.' You had to watch two films in advance to know who such and such is and you think, 'Oh, f*** off with that.' Make it a new mission each episode and let him be Bond. They overcomplicate him. The best 'Bond films' now are the Mission: Impossibles. There is no inner life, it's just, 'Woah! Look at that building - I'd love to climb it and blow things up.'"

Higson is the latest in a list of writers and directors saying similar things. Will Broccoli listen? Or does she only listen to the voices in her head?

Will she listen? Her exact words only a few short weeks ago: She has A LOT OF WORK TO DO BEFORE SHE STARTS CASTING? :hair: It has been 8 years and only 1 film has been made!

Did you post the one comment on there ("If it's not Cavill, they're smoking crack")? Whoever it was, well done that person .

Engineering possibly. She’s very good at math.

Bond related:

1) Charlie Higson has a 30 year old son?(I had to look it up he was born in 1958)amazed.

2) Pierce and Keely were at the Met Gala last night.

Image Met gala event this week. Imagine if Broccoli casts Brosnan as the next M? Would he take that role?

I'm very against the idea of past Bonds appearing in different roles, so I hope not.

One more thing struck me about that video you posted upthread. When Babbzy said "imagine how I feel", how great would it have been if the interviewer had replied "yeah, but you're in a position to actually do something about it"?

Reminds me:There was an article online about the worst plot twists in movies and Blofeld being Bond’s brother was one of them.

Oh yeah, any entertainment "journalist" who actually did it would soon find themselves blacklisted. But one can dream.

These interviewers kiss the celebrities rears to get interviews, and Broccoli has a very annoying high pitched cackle to her voice.

The reason I put "journalists" in snarl quotes is that George Orwell defined journalism as "anything that someone, somewhere doesn't want published. Anything else is public relations."

Since NO other human men seem to interest Broccoli, perhaps she can development an attachment to another species and name this guy the next Bond: Image

James Bond author Charlie Higson has said that if an actor is talked about as “being considered” as the next 007, “you know that they’ve been rejected."
Higson is best known for his Young Bond series for teenagers, and has recently been commissioned by Ian Fleming Publication to write a new Bond story for the King’s coronation. Speaking to the Press Association, Higson was asked if he has heard anything about who the next actor to play Bond could be following the departure of Daniel Craig after 2021’s No Time To Die.

“As soon as the papers say, ‘So and so is being considered as the next James Bond’, you know that they’re not going to be the next James Bond, you know that they’ve been rejected,” he said.

“Eon (Productions) who make the films play their cards very close to the chest and a lot of times they really surprise people."

Higson also said that his choice for Bond is James Norton, who I think is a terrible choice. I don't see anything Bond-like about him at all.

DAVIS, Calif. — A 21-year-old man, who was a University of California, Davis, student until last week, has been arrested in connection with a harrowing series of three stabbings in the college town, the police announced on Thursday. The man, Carlos Dominguez of Davis, was booked on suspicion of murder after residents on Wednesday called the police with more than a dozen reports that they had seen a slight, young man who fit witnesses’ description of the suspect, wandering near the park where one of the attacks happened, the police said.
