Sorry, I lasted about a minute and a half. Not sure whether that's despite being a Prince fan, or because of it.

OK, I skipped to the end, so I didn't see why Craig was dressed in Elizabethan costume. I suppose they deserve some credit for the line "hey, get off me double-O ugly".

It’s technically not supposed to be a reboot it is DC s take on trying the multi-verse , variant thing marvel just successfully pulled off, and has several movies set around it, in dc universe the joker was a one off but more successful than the Zack Snyder dc world. So this is another that might tie in to another dc movie before flashpoint

This article about reboots from 13 years ago made me smile:

I do know that I'm very excited to see where this industry heads. Will this reboot trend eventually die off? Will Hollywood ever go back to producing more original work than adaptations or remakes? Or are we destined to continue to see reboots for so long that in another 10 years even The Dark Knight itself will be rebooted again? For now I'll sit back in my overstuffed recliner, pop in that Blu-Ray copy of Casino Royale, and smile while I think about how great it'll be to see Daniel Craig returning again in Quantum of Solace even though I'm the biggest fan of the classic James Bond movies. Because if it weren't for these reboots, we'd never have been able to enjoy such great entertainment.

Notice who is standing next to Cr-egg when he receives his award for being the luckiest shmuck ever to have a screen actors guild card because his female mentor molded him into her hush puppy. Where the hell is his wife?

The rear end kissing by the human corpse MGW starts at the 4:00 minute mark and it is revolting, as Broccoli stands there silent:

Know who isn't kissing Craig's behind? Well, Vanity Fair's headline writer, for one: https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/20 ... ium=social

There have been 4 M's in EON's production of Bond films. Care to take a guess at what the next 'woke' production of Bond 26 will be looking for if a new M is desired? Image

Vulture.com's Bilge Ebiri excerpt: "A pivot back to a more lighthearted, fantastical Bond  might be welcome after all that Sturm und Drang. Surely I’m not the only person suffering from moody continuity fatigue.' https://www.vulture.com/2021/10/no-time ... -here.html

Well, this is a story I never thought I'd see. Mel Brooks is actually making History of the World Part II, as an 8-part series for Hulu: https://www.slashfilm.com/636257/histor ... ok_organic

So, this Friday, I am on my own (wife and puppy are gone for the weekend), and with midterms over, and the marking down, I will be settling down to watch a Bond movie. I feel like a lean, grounded Bond, so here are my choices:

From Russia with Love;
For Your Eyes Only (Currently the preferred choice)
The Living Daylights
The World is Not Enough

Which Bond film do you find yourself going back when you have a chance to just enjoy one?

As a Connery nut, of the 4 choices I'd go with FRWL, an amazing film and a must see. TLD is always a solid choice also, but when I'm in the mood for pure concentrated "Bond" I put on Thunderball, but that's just me.

TLD , as daltons first bond he is believable in the role by the time opening credits start.
I think until Babs bond eon took great care introducing the new bonds, GE great introduction to brosnan, TLD Dalton while not Moore was still in a bond adventure other movies later copied moments from.
OHMSS incredible film, I kind of wish connery had got to make it , apparently he thought he was and liked the script then eon made you only live twice next.

I was going to make a point about bond in the role too long or poor last movies, DAF, AVTAK, DAD, NTTD,

Aside from Craig being up to his next deciding how it’s going to be made, the other bonds were capable of better and some of their on screen time had best moments in their career, but it’s eon letting down the production and fans.

Irony-Man2 they are all corkers, especially the first 3. I'd go with your preferred choice and FYEO.

Thanks for the input everyone. It's always nice to discuss Bond with people who are knowledgeable and have a passion for the films and character.

I will probably go with FYEO, as It my favourite Roger Moore Bond (by an ever so slight margin). But no matter which one I watch, I will do so with a large martini (made to Fleming's original recipe) and enjoy a large bowl of Spaghetti Bolognese (while I'm not at Shrublands I've been on a bit of a health kick this month so I think I deserve it) washed down with a nice Chianti (the red kind). Then an espresso and cigar to finish the evening off.
