It will be rebooted as Craig's 25 year Bond epic was a self contained series where he started off as a schoolboy and ended up as a pensioner. It should be easy to cast a young actor and make a Bond movie but we will probably get Richard Stilgoe on heroin.

I don't know if folks outside the UK will be able to access this link, but BBC Radio 2 has a 2-part documentary on the Bond soundtracks. Part 1 is here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000zstl
Rather pleasingly, the two episodes are titled "The Classic Years" and "The Craig Years". Needless to say, I won't be tuning in for part 2!

I m curious what influence Amazon will have going forward. I know everyone thing spin-off series but I can see it going several ways depending on how they reimagine bond, Babs has here way it’s possibly 007 is the job and any anybody can be it James Bond was just passing through. I doubt it’ll work.
Does Amazon want Disney plus kind of story with Loki and Wanda vision filling in backstory for the movies or do they want to weeklyJames Bond series?
Normally there is so much content movie makers cull though to make a movie I could see a b team using cut material to fill streaming demand.
So bond movie with cut scenes being filled in with back story on the streaming service.

It's a bit of a puff piece, as you might expect, but there are some interesting interviews with people like Don Black, Lulu and Duran Duran.Skywalker wrote: Got a big drive tomorrow so will check it our. Part 1 obviously

Started listening to more Podcasts lately. Maybe it's an age thing or just bored of listening to same music playlists?Kristatos wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 9:48 amIt's a bit of a puff piece, as you might expect, but there are some interesting interviews with people like Don Black, Lulu and Duran Duran.Skywalker wrote: Got a big drive tomorrow so will check it our. Dan does realise that his argument could just as easily apply to BAME actors, or to blond thugs, right?

Parroting his benefactor Auntie Barbara. I know it's a bit "tinfoil hat," but I keep getting the suspicion they're talking about "Naomi" and her ascension to franchise lead every time they say "new roles created for women." I guess we'll find out soon enough.Kristatos wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 10:36 am Dan does realise that his argument could just as easily apply to BAME actors, or to blond thugs, right?

In the interview with the Radio Times, Craig was seated alongside Barbara Broccoli, the Bond producer who has made her feelings on the subject known. She said last year: “James Bond can be of any colour, but he is male.”----------you see where this is going gang........and it is not looking good at every aspect.

Spot on. I found myself wanting to watch AVTAK after listening to Nick Rhodes talk so enthusiastically and the JB scoreKristatos wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 9:48 amIt's a bit of a puff piece, as you might expect, but there are some interesting interviews with people like Don Black, Lulu and Duran Duran.Skywalker wrote: Got a big drive tomorrow so will check it our. Nice to hear BC talk about Louis Armstrong and the brief piano solo performed originally by Marvin Hamlisch sounded great.

Although the way he tells the story of how he got the gig is slightly different from how I heard it, which is that he walked up to Cubby at that party and asked "Why don't you get someone good to do your theme song for a change?" Either that version of the story was embellished, or his older and wiser self is suitably embarrassed at his youthful arrogance, and has edited the story to make himself sound like less of a bellend.

He came across quite modestly so if the earlier version you heard is true, he may well have decided to edit the event.Kristatos wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 7:09 pmAlthough the way he tells the story of how he got the gig is slightly different from how I heard it, which is that he walked up to Cubby at that party and asked "Why don't you get someone good to do your theme song for a change?"
