Falling further down the rabbit hole I landed on https://www.007.com/new-james-bond-vide ... announced/.
Where they say quote:
"...MGM, EON Productions and Delphi announced today that they are developing the very first James Bond origin story with the working title Project 007."
Hooray! Once again we get another origin story, you know, since the last 5 in a row weren't enough! EON, stop concocting incessant "origins" for Bond, part of his attraction is his mystique!

No BJ, the next film will be called No Time To Watch, starring Lashana Lynch as Agent 00-Noami, she'll be teaming up with a re-booted Goldfinger who self identifies as a bar of silver, because F@#K your labels man! The entire film will be them seated before the camera re-educating us on toxic Bond.

I've just heard about a new charity album of Bond covers being released soon. This one seems more indie-flavoured than the David Arnold one, featuring bands like Sleeper and The Wedding Present. More details as I get 'em.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
In earlier reporting on the matter, No Time To Die’s price tag was set at a cool $600 million, with both Apple TV+ and Netflix in play to potentially win Daniel Craig’s swan song into their library. If you thought that was a lowball figure, particularly when keeping in mind how much a 007 movie actually needs to make to break even, get ready for the most recent estimate. According to The L.A. Times, $800 million was the number MGM had in mind, and at that rate, there were no takers.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
There's a traditional association of orange and black (and to a lesser extent red and yellow) with Thanksgiving, and with autumn in general. Fall colors in the States are much more dramatic than the muted browns and yellows of a British autumn.

The UK regulatory body has authorised the Pfizer vaccine for use, and vaccinations are scheduled to begin here next week. Light at the end of the tunnel at last.

I’m a little worried because it’s political here and in the us it will be a rushed vaccine that will have big flaws. I hope it’s actually works well but a lot of politicians are pushing itKristatos wrote:The UK regulatory body has authorised the Pfizer vaccine for use, and vaccinations are scheduled to begin here next week. Well, Pfizer is a US company, so presumably it's the same vaccine. Consider this a second opinion. I believe your FDA will be making its decision on the Moderna vaccine on the 17th, not sure about the Pfizer one.Omega wrote:I’m a little worried because it’s political here and in the us it will be a rushed vaccine that will have big flaws. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
The next James Bond movie, No Time to Die, could be facing another delay. That was pushed from this April to last month before being shifted to April 2nd, 2021. However, "the movie's financial backers are wary of being the first blockbuster out of the gate because its core audience skews older, a demographic that’s been more reluctant to go to the movies during the pandemic." In other words, don't be surprised if No Time to Die slips to November 2021.

Not From Where I'm Standing, the album of Bond covers I mentioned before, is now out. Spotify link here, but if you like it, please buy it, as payments to artists from streaming services are pitiful:

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
JAMES BOND producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson are interested in "experimenting and pushing the boundaries" of the 007 franchise after the risks they took in the Daniel Craig era paid off, claims Bond expert and author Edlitz. Interestingly, Broccoli teased just last month that Bond 26 will be a “reimagining”. Speaking with Total Film, the 60-year-old said: “It will have to be reimagined, in the way each actor has reimagined the role. That’s what is so exciting and fun about this franchise; the character evolves. Eventually, when we have to think about it, we’ll find the right person.”
