In England, the city of Leicester resumed a more severe lockdown while the rest of the country reopened pubs, restaurants, movie theaters and hair salons. Herd immunity is the ONLY way to end this.

Herd immunity requires a vaccine to work.bjmdds wrote:In England, the city of Leicester resumed a more severe lockdown while the rest of the country reopened pubs, restaurants, movie theaters and hair salons. Herd immunity is the ONLY way to end this.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
If there is herd immunity it’s in California, problem is 6 months on our best and brightest will not say what this covid is for sure, if it can be caught again there is no good answer.
If the antibodies work then once covid runs it course it’s down
The amazing part to me is out of a population of 7 billion 12 million have/had covid, maybe half a million dead world wide, those are either very thin odds or something if off about what we are being told this virus.

I think "we don't know" is the answer. I think the reason people like to see conspiracies everywhere is that it's actually less scary to believe that the world is secretly controlled by alien lizards or whatever than it is to realise that things are basically chaotic, and that nobody knows anything.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Several big-city mayors and top officials are acknowledging that weeks of anti-police protests and riots may have contributed to surging coronavirus rates, weeks after Democrats and even some epidemiologists openly encouraged Black Lives Matter allies to demonstrate in the streets. In public statements and interviews this weekend, officials in Los Angeles, Seattle and Miami-Dade County, Fla., have indicated that some link between protests and new cases was at least possible. Still, many officials declined to comment when contacted this weekend, and others – including New York Mayor Bill de Blasio's office – disputed that the protests had caused any issue.---------no kidding This shows how the left wing media and the left wing politicians in these left wing states actually expect anyone with common sense to believe that ONLY eating INDOORS causes any spread of this virus BUT congregating in protests and riots in close proximity has NO effect on its spread How dumb do they think we are? DeBlasio ORDERED tracers NOT to ask anyone with the virus if they attended a protest Corruption and bias and media spread of hatred is leading to the civil war about to take place in this country because people have HAD IT already with this garbage Take sides now

I don't often see eye to eye with BJ politically, but I do agree that there shouldn't be one rule for protesters and another for everybody else. Several of the BLM protests (the peaceful ones that were too "boring" to make the news) managed to observe social distancing guidelines, so it is possible.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
We know someone who lives in the south and they went to a protest in their town there was so f’ the police, and similar, police got criticized for staging near by but out of sight, but nobody got violent so they didn’t rush in. Don’t know if it was official BLM, the local community that was behind it got permits and permission to stop traffic for the road they held a march on.Kristatos wrote:I don't often see eye to eye with BJ politically, but I do agree that there shouldn't be one rule for protesters and another for everybody else. Don’t know about social distancing apparently better than 50% had face masks.
I doubt it was covered other than local news. It’s not the story they want to run with.

Sometimes I think the only reason we have riots is that it's the only way to get attention. A riot makes the front page, a peaceful protest gets one or two column inches on page 27.

The media is interested in telling a narrative, they are not reporters, they are closer to entertainers.
I’m talking about as a business, they have reduced themselves to only highlighting what is easily defined so they know how to package quickly for consumption.
Entertainment media that follows bond has been reduced to recycling blurbs and out of context quotes from decades ago to creat click bait. Hollywood bought up the places that used to be independent. If “news” appears in variety or similar it was “leaked” through studios or actor representative, basically approved content only.
News media is the same, same political party hacks making the exact same points. I don’t know if it was the 24hr news cycle or something else that finally broke the news outlets. It seems like they settled on a formula to easily creat content. Riots they can repackage quickly, people they have to listen to then explain to their audience is risky because they might change the channel.
MLK wouldn’t be covered today, I have a dream speech isn’t as catchy as twitter post.

The rancid neo-conservatives can rot as well What they have done to the working class in this country by outsourcing jobs for cheap labor elsewhere is an abomination Bill Kristol and his bunch at the National Review are just as bad as the left wing media circus and the FAR left liberal socialist Democrats We need a REAL new 3rd party here ------------4 months to go for the new Dr. No to be revealed by the way: I wonder how they will introduce the NAME as his character will be called SAFIN.

The city of Englewood, Colorado. located just south of Denver, will require all citizens to wear face masks Friday as coronavirus cases are on the rise. Violators will have the right to a trial but could face up to a year in prison or a $2,600 fine ---- Big O, this could affect you

Not really it’s another Denver Colorado satellite city, bjmdds wrote:The city of Englewood, Colorado. located just south of Denver, will require all citizens to wear face masks Friday as coronavirus cases are on the rise. If this kind of crap catches on or they make it a state law it could be a big deal for us, as it is we avoid that part of the state except for a few occasions, like state championships, or school functions, which aren’t happening right now.
I consider Englewood part of the Denver influx of people from the east & west coast who ruined their cities so came here. A lot of crazy ideas and bad laws come out of that hub around boulder and Denver.
We’ve lost new industries because of weird laws making it hard for some business to get started or giving some industries extra burdens because they make something left wing ideologues hate, like gun manufacturers, or four wheel drive off road accessories.
Denver is a population center that rules against the will of the rest of the state. Farmers and ranchers make up a lot of the land mass owners, with federal land and Indian reservations taking up the rest of the land. Setting aside federal land the rest of the people are not given much representation in local and state government. There were succession movements recently because of this. Nobody takes those movements seriously because the federal government isn’t interested in creating new states, and nobody wants to be drafted in to other states were are in the border with.
What does hurt us is we have a lot of tourist attractions which are not generating money, tax money and revenue for local businesses. There is going to be fallout from this, there are a lot of small community business that are not going to make it and pretty soon the state is going to go bankrupt trying to spend like they are.
I’ve found when the state government try to budget for losses they over estimate future tax revenue and panic the next year.

Halloween Kills has been moved from October 2020 to October 2021. I'd be amazed if NTTD actually comes out this year.

Didn't they actually move it forward by a week or two? I dunno, it's hard to keep track.
