#metoo , she was dressed by a studio pimp, she doesn’t what to be there and doesn’t want to be near him. Their on screen chemistry will be great if they are making Divorce comedy.

I’m sure babs is sitting back thinking these pictures are pure gold, she likes her bonds aging aryan with a dash of sexual predator.
but on my corner of the internet that display is a hostage video.

wasn’t that the style in 2005? I thought it was hipster chic at one point, I haven’t seen any other movie copy it and Kingman series which as all about Savile Row fashion never got near I’ll fitting wrinkled suits.

Maybe its Tom ford

They don't know who that 'assistant' is? :hair: If true, it is further evidence of the dumbing down of society where people with jobs are clueless and should be doing something else :!: How do you do a Bond story and not know who that is? :!:

To be fair to the Mirror, I'm willing to bet she ran up and handed him that water bottle before canoodling with him in such a way that a casual observer could easily mistake her for a star crossed assistant.

I was going to say she probably acted like a hanger on to the great Craig.

Pierce Brosnan said of the prospect of a female Bond: “Yes! I think we’ve watched the guys do it for the last 40 years, get out of the way, guys, and put a woman up there."-----moron with a skull full of liberal emasculated mush :!:

The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

Post by Omega »

We’ve had plenty of female bond movies, they a popular take on the spy genera although not block buster. If we wanted to we could name dozens of tv shows and movie with women as the central character doing the action spy thing. It’s not new and it’s not something the audience hasn’t seen. Eon is using the notion as click bait to get attention that the worlds oldest spy series is replacing 007 with a woman who the EON team then uses sexiest ways to describe.

Brosnan is going to go along with whatever the popular industry opinion is, left or right.
I bet he’s having a bit of fun helping push Craig out the door while hurting babs image and her clout in the industry.

She has painted herself as a love struck middle aged woman trying to act like a teenage girl fawning over one of the fab five. She’s not a strong producer, she’s not a role model for anybody. If she were a strong leader of her organization she wouldn’t have ceded most of her authority to a never was actor to keep him happy.

I think babs, the industry, Connery and Brosnan forget that bond first and for most exists as a literary character, there is someone they are trying to portray. The movie industry is caught up in the notion of brand, and they can rebrand characters against who they are supposed to be tailoring them to catch the right demographics to make money on tv and movies. Brands can be anybody where as characters cannot. James t Kirk should be a white guy who is captain of a star ship enterprise, where as anybody could be a star fleet captain. Harry Potter is a white wizard and anybody can be a wizard in the Wizarding world. Bond is mistaken as being the brand instead of the character. Which babs only has herself to blame because she made it unimportant who Ian Fleming’s bond is and made it a brand were any washed up actor could have their turn at their interpretation of the spy genera.

It’s only a recent notion of trying to correctly bring to life the intended world authors wrote and fans enjoyed. Netflix, amazon, marvel and dc are trying to add to theirs series by including details from the original source.

Jack Ryan is a decent example, the amazon series is closer to the character Tom Clancy wrote, despite a few of the PC alterations to the surrounding characters. But amazon is bringing Tom Clancy’s jack ryan and the actor is unquestionably playing jack Ryan.
Craig never played bond, he’s doing Craig’s version of a washed up tough guy. Who unlike bond never was the best HMSS had to offer, he’s always had some other agent held up as more competent, better, less burdened by personal baggage that is the only motivator for the recent bond series. I guess that was a fresh take on the way cubby’s series had the Connery infallible spy, practically perfect in every way, a image way which carried on through Brosnans era of bond able to fly fighter jets, drive tanks, expert in every fighting style. Which was Hollywood’s on the series and why bond and the clone series were lampooned by Austin powers and Johnny English.
