Underwater Love

Post by Count_Lippe »

I've always thought this song "Underwater Love" from 1997 had a rather Bondian feel.

It's the band Smoke City with the Brazilian-English singer Nina Miranda.

I first heard the song on MTV back in those days when it was used in a Levis jeans commercial, and I also bought the single then.

It's a cool song and Nina sings in both English and Portuguese.

Well it's no Writings On The Wall Count, but I suppose it'll do  .

I always thought these two from Portishead were rather Bondian as well.

This short thriller/secret agent movie from Portishead is of course also worth watching.

Many people thought that Portishead should have done the theme for Goldeneye, which was released when they were at the height of their popularity. Tina Turner was seen at the time as a bit of a "safe" choice, and not in a good way.
