I'd say hilarious is an understatement here.

Can you say one of these things is not like the other?!

Holy bad photoshop Batman! So the image babs like the best of Craig is QOS I’m guessing from the face.

Would be funny if it did happen. Mendes was one of those who didn’t like Craig as bond but his spin was how good Craig was at it changed his mind. I’d love for any director to come in to a series and honestly say you know this sucks, the lead isn’t that good but you work with what you’ve got.
I guess Ron Howard was the closest when he took over Solo.

Thinking about that survey from last week what is striking about all the bond data is the audience does have affection for the bond franchise, maybe nostalgia, but really don’t care about Craig one way or the other. Sort of evidenced by talk about new bond being the one thing of interest to most movie goers so much that when bond 25 talk is about people rather hear about bond 26.

Roger Moore and Sean Connery stayed too long, pierce brosnan was accused of wanting to stay too long, Craig has stayed too long just because of the pride of one woman. If he left after skyfall he’d probably gotten all he could out of the role, besides paydays.
I think the reason a lot haven’t given up on the bond franchise is the feeling based on past experience that it will change with a new actor. I’m not sure babs can change, or has any desire to make the bond movies her parents made. I think for the audience there’s a feeling when these movies are fresh, or at least different with the times. I felt that way with dalton and brosnan, I never hit a point with either actor where I was over their bond and wondered what might come next to revive bond to relevance, of course both actors were essentially fired before they were done but, it’s not like When Connery and Moore stayed on and on.

Roger Moore probably lost the mojo around FYEO, maybe OP. Not that he was bad or tired of the role more the producers were in a rut combined with the fact he had been on the job since 1973 and the world had changed while his series was stuck more or less in his glory days.

Connery was done before YOLT and brought back for a obscene payday because the studio didn’t like lazenby (fun fact while Connery publicly gave his DAF salary to charity he made even more from his contract on the percentages)

Thing Craig has in common with them is he has been on the job for too long, doesn’t particularly want to be there, producers are out of ideas and he was convinced to do it for a big payday.
Brosnan and dalton also had the desire to make another movie for the sake of the fans and because they loved the experience watching the movies when younger. I think Craig hopes to weasel out some kind of acclaim even if he destroys the franchise doing it, not that this is anything new.

Yeah Big O, pretty bad for a billion dollar film studio who pride themselves on special effects! Then again the whole web site comes off rather cheap. It reminds me of some local bar's site, "At the Main Street Tavern, Johnny's been tending bar for over 25 years since his dad retired and left him the business."

There's also this "Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have produced some of the most successful Bond films ever made including CASINO ROYALE, QUANTUM OF SOLACE, SKYFALL and most recently SPECTRE." You'd think they weren't responsible for any of the other Bond films, and QOS is one of the most successful Bond films ever made? Also has Spectre even made it's money back yet?

Back to the picture itself, the 5 classic Bonds are all well dressed in their tuxedos, pistols held aloft in a sort of Freudian nod to their virility. Craig of the other hand, slump shouldered and hunched over in his rumbled suit, wrinkled shirt lacking a tie, has his gun hanging limply at his side trying to effect an impotent version of a James Dean pose. He looks less James Bond and more Rebel Without a Clue

EON's new website never updated the new director :!: They still have their original release statement online with Boyle as the director :!: Typical for them. ------"Daniel Craig will return as 007, the legendary British secret agent, and Academy Award®-winning director Danny Boyle (SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, STEVE JOBS) will direct from an original screenplay by Academy Award® nominee John Hodge (TRAINSPOTTING)."

deadline is always a bit over positive even in bad bo break downs. There was another film series I watched the break down of and from the known costs deadline accepted the lower studio figures based on some hopeful tax incentive and hoped for Tie-in revenue. Still not a pretty picture but imho deadline went from a cutting edge site to lapdog for the film industry. Still good info but they lack the spine to cross their masters, guess like the political parties Are afraid of their donors.

Btw Deadline never mentions the Sony hack where sony admits if SP did skyfall money their return was very low.

I’m not surprised, I really don’t think anyone but babs cares to make another Craig movie and the fact her nephews can’t be bothered order a intern to update the official site is telling

CBS’s “Murphy Brown” reboot has been canceled after one season following its initial run of 13 episodes amid low ratings.

Deakins won’t be doing the next James Bond film with director Cary Fukunaga having hired Oscar-winning cinematographer Linus Sandgren (“First Man,” “La La Land”) to lens Daniel Craig’s final outing as Bond.

"Lea will be returning," Fukunaga told the Daily Mail. "You have some of the best actors in the world here. Why wouldn't I have the best coming back?" As Seydoux played Alpine psychologist Dr Madeleine Swann in Spectre, it sounds like the upcoming film could be a straight sequel. Fukunaga has already said that Bond 25 will continue the story arc started by Casino Royale, and the amount of returning names suggests that Christoph Waltz's conspicuously not-dead Blofeld might be back in the frame too. Fukunaga also confirmed that we'll see Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny and Ben Whishaw as Q. OHMSS reboot most likely. Image

You don't understand V, We can't let a golden opportunity to retell the same exact story for a fifth time! No matter how many times we see Craig go rogue, lose the love of his life/mother figure, and just generally be a grouchy self loathing SOB (not necessarily in that order) never gets old! You also don't understand the hunger of the audience, the abject starvation of the public, to see such a "great" actress as what's her name sleepwalk her way though the film delivering her dialogue with a palpable yawn!

ImageImage Image "They stuck to their guns and fought for Sean Connery, and they were right to fight for Sean Connery. If it wasn't for Sean Connery, we wouldn't all be here. I was raised to fight for what I believed in, so I wasn't going to give up. I wanted Daniel Craig, and Michael wanted Daniel Craig, so we just stuck to our guns. Fortunately, we had the right management who really stuck with us. Thanks to that, we got our choice. He's been an extraordinary Bond, and he is very much the right Bond for the 21st century"---Barbara Broccoli............this woman is clinically insane :!:
