Well, this isn't going well. But it's an exciting game, much faster-paced than the Croatia match.

Crime in London persists on epidemic proportions as the murder rate soared by 44 percent, with 157 homicides committed compared to 109 the previous year, according to official statistics from the Metropolitan Police :!: Your mayor is as horrendous as the socialist DeBlasio here in NYC who fudges the crime statistics as more crimes are being committed than are being reported :!: BOTH mayors MUST go :!:

Well, unless England score 3 goals in the next 5 minutes, fourth place it is.

Actually I can just see them putting a "twist" into Bond 25. The PTS opens to Craig apparently undercover as a violent, beer swilling football hooligan. Then the twist is revealed. He's not undercover. It's more of a pastime.
That would be the most realistic they did with Craig's Bond. Oh, the irony.

I am going to support Croatia in the final, btw. Partly because of Veronica, and partly because they're the underdogs in the game.

I'm sorry, I was under the impression they were doing this all along. Shows what I know.

Thank you Kris, that means so much  I am hoping that Euro final of 2016 will repeat itself today. France a clear favorite, lost to Portugal. And they played on their own soil, no less.

My fault. Completely forgot about that time when Craig was drinking all the way to oblivion, on some island because he hated MI6 and M. :picard:

Well, it was sort of a draw, it's just that one of the Croatian goals happened at the wrong end of the pitch.

Seriously though, I have to hand it to Croatia, they didn't go down without a fight. They continued to bring their A game right up until the last minute.

Sigh. What a shame. French will disagree with me, but luck was on their side. That penalty was pure luck in my opinion. We had great chances, we had skill, we just needed a little bit of luck. That being said, our defense did fall apart at some point hence those other two goals.

Yeah, that handball penalty was total crap. It's not as if it was done intentionally. Yet another lame VAR decision.

But overall, Croatia should still be very proud of their achievements this World Cup. They went further than most would have expected, and they put up a good fight against a more experienced team for their first time in the finals. I also loved that bit of trolling on the French goalkeeper with the second goal. :D

The first goal as well... Griezmann fell all by himself the contact was a bare minimum and it happened when he was almost completely on the ground... :hair: Two VERY questionable decisions from the referee and two goals that our goalkeeper COULD have saved. Gosh, football can be a bitch. But that goal from Mandzukic... oh yeah.
I still would have taken french win more easily if they were TRULY much better than us. I guess a lack of luck makes this worse for me.
I probably shouldn't despair, this is a magnificent success for us but stil there's that question of what could have been if things were a little bit different.

I hate it when some of these players fall down to the ground for every little thing, as if they were made out of paper. Certainly some questionable decisions made in this game that didn't make it a clean win for France. Some still question France's first World Cup win in 1998, believing that it was fixed, but who knows.

Sometimes the best team doesn't always win, sadly.

Who knows what was fixed and when but these two decisions were fishy to say the least. Then again... the referee is from Argentina perhaps he's still a bit pissed about 3-0 score. :fight: still, I don't wanna look like I'm just looking for mistakes in others, I think our goalkeeper was subpar this time and our defense in general made those mistakes that led to those 2 bloody goals in 5 minutes.

The goalkeeper's performance was a bit shaky. He had a clear view and enough time to react to save those last two French goals. It reminds me a bit of Germany's goalkeeper Oliver Kahn in 2002. He was amazing throughout the whole tournament, but then made a couple of mistakes in the finals against Brazil that cost them the cup. But that's football. You never know what will happen.

Hopefully this bit of experience will make Croatia stronger for the next World Cup.

I think his injury might have something to do with this. Perhaps he wasn't up to the task completely, perhaps that was coupled with a lack of complete faith in our other goalkeeper. Who knows. Those two goals were not indefensible by any means, I see a lot of people are writing that Perisic's goal was the best one of the game and I think I would agree even if I were completely neutral.
