When you were first greeted 'Bond... James Bond'.

The last time ABC played the Bond films (40th anniversary hype) was horrible. They were supposed to air all 1-19 Bond films. Instead, they just skip OHMSS for DAF and it stops right there. No more Bond films afterwards. OHMSS did get aired but was only played just incase a Hockey game ended early (which didn't, it had 3 overtimes).

Also the editing job was horrible. I remember they completely cut off the PTS right after Bond bombs the building. A lot of editing on the violence too, despite that their own programs showed more violence.

This was at a point where I never had the DVDs and I was disappointed that I never got to see all of the films once a week on Sundays.

The first flashbacks are OddJob in Goldfinger and Jaws...
I remember that I was schooked for some scenes: when Largo throw the guy in the shark pool or the laser battle in Moonraker.
Years later, when I was 13, a TV reporter came behind our school and ask us "what person you should be"... and all of us answer "Sean Connery!" beacause, the day after, the tv broadcasted "Never Say never again"...
I remember also that I saw "You only live twice" with my granny!
The first Bond that I saw at cinema was "Goldeneye"

I have been extremely fortunate -- my dad and uncles are all big Bond fans! Even my mom likes him, although not as much. So I grew up watching Bond on DVDs / tapes. The first one that made a big impression was around age 9 -- YOLT; a perfect kid Bond movie, of course. FYEO was the first viewed in a theater. I also saw OHMSS in a retrospective on the big screen -- that has always been one of my favorites, you have to see it on the big screen to appreciate the scope. I'd like to see the older Bonds too on screen.

btw, my dad said he was overseas and saw Our Man Flint when it came out; he said they went back to see it again. He was a Navy Master Chief, so appreciates that Bond is a navy man. (also, he knows how to tie a bow tie, so doesn't like DC's Bond since he probably doesn't know how to tie a bow tie . And this is part of the reason why it's important to me that Bond remain a navy guy, it's part of his past.
