Random theory I had was an Icebreaker film with the villain being a Nazi exile (Waltz) and a red head bond girl (Seydoux). Or maybe Colonel Sun with Waltz as von Richter and Seydoux as Ariadne Alexandrou. Just random theories, who knows...
Nazis exiles are so played out at this point, not to mention nearly all being dead.

There are at least 3 Nazi villains I can think of in the Gardner novels. They could use neo-Nazi's as the bad guys. I could totally see Craig crooning around in a Saab, maybe they could use Waltz as a Blofeld like villain in something like Gardner's Role of Honour and Nobody Lives Forever.

By the way Skyfall ended I got the impression they're trying to move back to a more traditional Bond formula routine by reintroducing Q and Moneypenny, a male M with his old Victorian style office with the naval artwork. This was probably in answer to the awful showings for Quantum of Solace which was panned for drifting too far from the tried and true method. It probably won't have an American setting as Jeffrey Wright said he won't be involved (unless they recast).

It won't happen, EON don't own the rights to the continuation novels, and have said in the past, going all the way back to Colonel Sun, that there's no real incentive to buy them. It wouldn't add a single penny to the box office total, so from their point of view, it would just be money down the drain. The book The Bond Files noted that the film of TWSLM has several points of similarity to the plot of Colonel Sun, so why bother buying the rights when you can just plunder it anyway and file off the serial numbers?
I'm aware that EON don't own the rights to the continuation books, nor do they have a desire too. I was just expressing a pipe dream. Perhaps another bit of EON cherry picking; Bond's fight with Caber in Gardner's Licence Renewed is similar to Bond's fight with Necros in The Living Daylights.

I personally didn't think TDKR was *that* bad. A disappointment compared to the first two films in the trilogy, to be sure, but I'll still take it over Skyfall.

Hell they openly steal from Bourne batman and others so I'd imagine they read a book they like, not that the last few are worth mentioning, they'd steal like a Bourne plot

Don't forget all the stupidly big amounts of money it will make and fans that defend (not all but some) will say but duh it made a lot so it's great and all critics love it, the lion king made a lot of money (hope I don't get shot down for it) along with frozen and I didn't really like either of those films (but loved aladdin (RIP Robin Williams), I hated frozen with a passion, also very disappointed jurassic world will literally be a remake of the original superior in every way jurassic park (which is a real injustice to Chris Pratt (who was awesome in guardians of the galaxy (unexpected sleeper hit).

I really can't wait for the day craigs era of bond ends then see how that goes down when another actor takes over (hopefully more like bond).

Call me a pessimist, but I predict that these revelations won't make an iota of difference to SPECTRE's box office, and that however much of a fiasco the finished film turns out to be, the usual suspects will be on hand to defend it as a work of misunderstood genius that the rest of us are simply too thick to appreciate.

Part news, part prediction.

I found this on Top Gear's website.

http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/asto ... 2014-12-15

Here is what caught my eye.

:... but maybe there's something there you won't expect."

Eh? TG asks Marek to elaborate. A long pause. "We want to focus on what James Bond's hands are doing. That may give you a hint..."

So it's at the very least a self driving car. But he goes on...

"When the car was unveiled by Sam, it was introduced as ‘the first member of the cast'. It has a big part to play in the story. It's going to do some things you might not expect."

"Let's just say... there's a relationship they [Bond and the DB10] have, and not in the way that he has a relationship with the Bond girls. That relationship becomes apparent in the movie..."

So does that mean it's bloody Knight Rider? Will Craig be weepily confiding in his car about how tough his childhood was?

The self driving bit isn't too alarming, actually it's a bit of a return to the old days of re imagining some up and coming technology to fit the narrative. However a 4 wheeled therapist? That I can't abide!

As if Craig could ever hope to even approach the awesomeness of the Hoff.

Besides, Bond already had a talking car in Tomorrow Never Dies. Maybe they've run out of ideas for car gimmicks or something.

- The gunbarrel will appear 17 mins into the film (or anywhere OTHER THAN WHERE IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE!)
- Moneypenny will go out into the field, again
- Bond will have a gadget that is very similar to one he has used in the past (the signature gun from Licence To Kill / Skyfall
- Adele will sing the title track
- The DB10 will have a voice, Judi Dench's M

How about a flying car? I've jokingly said that if Craig's Bond were to get one, his fanatic fans would defend it as being realistic and Fleming-esque because of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Yes quite Kris, Craig's got a long way to go before he can "hassle the Hoff".

Kiwichris wrote:Besides, Bond already had a talking car in Tomorrow Never Dies. Maybe they've run out of ideas for car gimmicks or something.
The difference is in TND Bond's car talked in a prerecorded "the door is ajar" sort of way, phrases like "member of the cast" and "relationship" lead me to believe there is more of an artificial intelligence aspect here.

Indeed Saint, if this Knight Rider type car does in fact pan out, I'd like to see the Craig fanboys try to defend it, especially when they keep trashing the invisible car of DAD.

Of course not BJ, I'm not German! But watching him destroy that cheese burger is infinitely more entertaining than any of Craig's movies!
