There are actually two versions of the James Bond theme that can be considered the original one.
There is of course the one featured in Dr No in 1962.
But there is also the version the John Barry Seven released on record in 1962. This version is very cool as well and could very well have been used as an alternative Bond theme in one of the early films. Sort of like the "Turkish Bond theme" in FRWL (the one heard at the airport in Istanbul).
