Bond Star Trek crew

Post by carl stromberg »

Here is a bizarre topic from a thought I had today. If the James Bonds made up a Star Trek crew, which character would they play?

I would have Tim Dalton as Captain. He could be like a cross between Captain Picard and the Prince from Flash Gordon.

Daniel Craig would play the Data/Alien type as he is quite wooden.

For a Riker/Paris type, I would have Roger Moore.

I think Sean would be good as a Chief of Security.

That leaves George as the Doctor. And Pierce could play the engineer.

The thing I have learnt from this bizarre exercise is that Tim Dalton would have made a great Star Trek Captain.

Excellent choices. RM would make a fantastic Garak.

One episode was a Bond rip-off/homage (whatever you wanna call it, I think it's fun!) while on another episode merely featured as backround on Bashir's break time for about five minutes.

It is hard to crew a Trek ship with Bond actors.
All of the Bonds are Cpt Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Archer (thankfully none of them are Janeway!) filling the crew is more difficult. Which of the Bond girls would you want near a Warp reactor?
Where would M be?
Where would Q best be used?

Bernard Lee -Admiral Forrest
Timothy Dalton - Malcolm Reed (good fit Stocks)
Jane Seymour -T'Pol
Roger Moore -Dr. Arik Soong
Daniel Craig -Gorn (in ST:TOS too)

Roger Moore -Odo
George Lazenby -Gul Dukat

I'm a big DS9 fan, yet I forgot of Worf. :o

DS9 REVISED!

Connery - Captain/Commander Sisko
Lazenby - Dr. Bashir
Moore - Garak
Dalton - Lt. Commander Worf
Brosnan - Molly O'Brien
Craig - Odo

I place DS9 right behind TOS. IMO, it's the most successful spin-off in terms of becoming its own entity in premise, format, characterization, ect ect. Think of it as what Frasier is to Cheers, it doesn't try to depend on its predecessor too much. All the rest were variations of TOS.

I'm starting to feel like I wanna binge through the DVDs... been quite awhile.
