Post by Kristatos »

According to the Radio Times Proms guide, this year's Film Music Prom features a selection of music from the Bond films, and also John Barry's love theme from Out of Africa. It's broadcast on Friday 12 August at 7pm on BBC4.

The Radio Times says that the Bond medley will be 10 minutes long, and that there will be a "special tribute" to John Barry. The Score from North by Northwest will be included elsewhere in the Prom too, to relate this to the General Discussion thread.

So did anyone else watch it? I'm glad they didn't just go for the obvious choices. In fact there was a piece in the medley that I didn't recognise, which perturbed me, because I thought I knew my Bond music!
