New NSNA blu-ray/DVD release in March

Post by carl stromberg »

Never Say Never Again is being released on blu-ray and DVD in March. It will include some extras, including audio commentary and some documentaries.

I'm looking forward to this and hopefully some of the backgroud to the film may be discussed in some of the extras.

They're features that are put on the disc in addition to the main film, but that's not important now.

will the audio commentary consist of Kevin McClory going on about what a jerk Fleming was and how big a jackass Cubby was? Sean Conner chiming in every 10 minutes saying where the hell is my blooddy schotch?! Dear God who made this sheat?!

Not unless someone figures out a way to convert ouija board readings into audio.

not impossible if he recorded a laserdisc and dvd commentaries ;0 might use the ouija board commentary option to check out what Cubby and Fleming thought of the later bond films

LOL I have a mental image of Cubby's ghost appearing to Babs telling her what a lousy job she's doing running EON

It would be interesting to hear from Clement and wot's his face, two British comedy writers (responsible for some famous shows over here) who were brought in to add jokes to NSNA - including the "From here?" urine sample gag pilfered from their own show 'Porridge' with Ronnie Barker. I saw them chatting about NSNA on a tv special once and they said it was a crazy set where they made up large chunks of the script as they filmed and everyone fully expected to be closed down by legal people before they'd finished.

La Frenais is the other name you were thinking of-I think they've done several movies besides NSNA(which, quite frankly seems out of place on their credits)

I still can't believe it was made. It's a rather good film as well, I think.
