Unless it suffers a Gigli-sized second weekend dropoff, it should overtake NTTD's worldwide total next weekend. And I looked at the release dates on IMDb, and it seems that I was wrong about it not opening everywhere at the same time. It opened in most markets this week, though it still has some Far Eastern territories to open in this coming weekend, and a few smaller markets after that, finishing with Norway and Slovenia on January 14th.

Judging by the reaction here in the states I wouldn’t be surprised if it passes nttd during the week before the holiday weekend. Of course some places are off work early because of the timing of Christmas falling on the weekend

Perhaps I should have said "by next weekend". I was thinking that midweek totals are usually a fraction of the weekend ones, but I wasn't taking the holidays into account.

NTTD gets its DVD and Blu-Ray release today. Wonder how well it will do. Hopefully it will bomb, but a lot of people will probably be getting it as a Christmas present, poor sods.

Wow , considering the up tick in the new Covid variant I thought it might drop.

I wonder if the studio will release regional ticket sales, Texas, Florida New York and which cities

I'm happy to report that Spider-man beat out NTTD quite handily here in the UK, $41.4 million vs $35.1 million for NTTD. The other major market for the CraigBond, Germany, continues to disappoint, however, $11.4 million for Spidey vs $15.1 million for NTTD.

Hooray! The bad news is that NTTD is number 1 in the UK DVD and Blu-Ray chart. I was really hoping it would be beaten by some 20-year-old Christmas movie like Elf.

Do they say how much money was made or how many sold ?

The usual trick was to get number one but omit the sales being lower than last weeks number 1 or the previous movie in the series’s

We took my younger nieces and nephews to see sing 2 Friday, a few other families were there.

Dunno if it will do well or not I’m surprised the little rug rats cared enough to beg to go.

No, it's compiled by the same people who do the music charts. Those don't tell you how many copies were sold either.

Over here, today and tomorrow are public holidays to compensate for Christmas Day and Boxing Day falling on the weekend. I know Boxing Day isn't a holiday in the States, but I'm guessing that today is, since Christmas Day was on Saturday.

The biggest box office bombs of 2021. Sadly, NTTD was not among them, but The Suicide Squad, which I liked a lot, was. There's no justice in the world. Also, musicals seem very overrepresented here, which is probably bad news for fans of the genre:

Well it’s one of the few films to make a little money even if it is negative far as profits

The spin out of Hollywood is interesting, one part is WB killed their movie with HBOmax , early release. But the movies WB had were not very good. We’re not even watched on hbomax enough to be exciting numbers for viewership.

Black widow suffered from day and date, except if the studio would add all of the early same black widow did better.
Shan-chi or the immortals the marvel line up 2021 was weak

Strangest was Spider-Man so the results make sense Covid or no

My guess is as long as it makes sense studios will empower the theater chains and propaganda about hurting movies or not by early digital
But I think they are watching how total is made and will start to lean to easy money
