There been a lot of speculation about that movie and the meg changing the world dynamic of movies. Breaking the white western mold and hold Hollywood alone has on creating movies for the world. Even mission impossible movies are worldwide collaborations.
I have no idea what crazy rich Asians is supposed to be about. My big fat Greek wedding kind of deal?

Seems to be. Even Nia Vardalos tweeted something to that effect, an "if you liked my movie, you'll probably like this" kind of message, after I'd replied to your post (which was the first time I'd heard of the movie).

I heard of the movie a few weeks ago but had no idea if it was a good natured Humorous title or a mistranslated foreign film title.

Btw mile 22 is another one of the foreign film company collaborations Hollywood is watching to see how it works or doesn’t. Except for the meg these are $30-50 million dollar budgets which Hollywood spends a day just for food services. So they think making quality films for a low budget is impossible. But other countries actually do this all the time but were shut out of the bigger markets by Hollywoods monopoly

Btw I think MI and the equalizer movies were also foreign collaborations

The meg and MI are holding better than I thought they would. Happy time murders even I was disgusted by the trailers, the premise looks like a rip off of Greg the bunny. Could be funny but I don’t care to see it to find out

Man reading about happytime murders itwas a pre-production mess and post production mess. The stars would even post to Twitter about it. Weird things is Jim Henson’s son (or grandson )was behind it

Paramount's Mission: Impossible - Fallout dipped just 13.4% as it enters its sixth weekend in release pulling in an estimated $7 million. The film is expected to deliver $9 million for the four-day weekend, pushing its domestic gross over $206 million. Internationally is where the big story is when it comes to Fallout as the film added another $89.1 million overseas this weekend, thanks in large part to an estimated $77.3 million opening in China. The performance is 84% ahead of Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation's Friday-Sunday debut* before it went on to bring in over $135 million in the market. At this point, Fallout has brought in nearly $443 million internationally for a global tally reaching $647 million. The film is now just $12 million behind Rogue Nation globally, which currently stands as the highest grossing worldwide release in the franchise.
