That was a shock as the favourite is normally shown to be a red herring. Interesting that an older actor is cast again.

Yes, he's only a year younger than William Hartnell was when he started, though Hartnell was playing older, while Capaldi is a young 55.

I am slightly concerned if the audience dips the BBC will write off any future choices not in their 20's to 30's.

Matt Smith has been to Comi Con here in San Diego.Word is that the Grand Hyatt Hotel,which is right next door to where the convention is held is the place to "accidentally" meet celebrities.
