Can you imagine if either Tim or Pierce played The Doctor?

Brosnan was linked with the Doctor role in a proposed film version in the 90's; maybe someone else has some more info. He would have been good.

Re: Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Who
There have been comparisons between Dr Who and 007 for years. Both are iconic British entertainment where actors change over the lead role. I vaguely remember Pierce being linked to a Dr Who project. I assume that was back when Steven Spielberg was involved with trying to make a Dr Who movie. Glad he didn't, my overwhelming concern was that he and the other yanks involved would have another Peter Cushing type series with little to do with the heart of Dr Who.
Pierce has the right sort of humour to be a Doctor, or another Time Lord. I didn't think Timothy had it until recently where his humour has come out in a few of his roles. I look forward to seeing what sort of Time Lord he plays. Rassilon? Possibly?
