Ian Fleming on CIS

Post by Dr. No »

Last Thursday on CSI Gil Grissom quoted Ian Flaming.
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."
Who said that?
Some one guessed at it. Got it wrong. Gil then told them it was Ian Fleming.
"Oh, I should have know that I'm a huge James Bond Fan!!"

Kind of a neat reference.

Good catch Dr. No!
Although I wish they had made an effort to recognise his 100th birthday.
"Mr. Bond, they have a saying in Chicago: 'Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action.' Miami, Sandwich and now Geneva. I propose to wring the truth out of you."

Goldfinger's eyes slid slowly past Bond's head. "Oddjob, The Pressure Room."
