CinemaSins: By popular request, we chart the sins of the so-called "best James Bond movie ever." There were a few of them.

Collectors in Idaho my ass!
I thought guns in the UK were illegal anyhow

Funny review, I missed some of points they made.

It's one of those movies the more you think about it the dumber it gets.

No, you can own them with the requisite permits, we just try to keep military-grade weapons out of the hands of the mentally ill.

Hell we can't even report the mentally ill here. Teachers, doctors, parents and friends can't get the proper authorities involved, there is no right to be crazy in the constitution

I don't want go too far off topic on a very funny video, but not touching gun debate IMO we have a problem with how we take care of our mentally ill. There is a homeless guy who walks in and out of town he basically lives in a field most of the year, all year long he wears his heavy winter coat, I've given him money a few times and others i know have tried to do a few things to make his life a little better, but there is nothing the "system" will do to help him. I single this guy out because he is different than some the " homeless "around here who drink whatever money they are given to fall asleep in the park I the middle of the afternoon

This guy maybe happiest in the open, it might be crueler to force him in to a place with small rooms and low ceilings. I can't help but feel as a nation we are ignoring a large population of people we should be helping.

On the thread I mentioned earlier, it seemed like there was some good dialogue about mental illness but that there is still a lot that we don't understand. With regards to states not doing their best to help the mentally ill, that's the way it is here in California.

I think it is a problem everywhere, it comes between doing what some doctor might think is the right treatment and personal freedom. I heard of vets who can't stand to be in a town , a few native Americans to. Id hate to force some uncomfortable in those situations but for the most part Sane in to a worse situation but IMO The system is broken in very fundamental way.

More on topic
In the video the guns sold to a collector in Idaho seem so stupid, but then the idea of bond owning a collection seemed absurd cause all the Brit stuff I see it like owning a dog, security fence or a gun and its off to jail

I watched a few more of their videos good stuff.

Idaho(and quite a few of those other Rocky Mountain and Rocky Mountain-adjacent) places have a rep as being hubs for millitia types.

I always think of Montana

Idaho I think potatoes

In this area of Colorado we have ranchers and hunters, own guns but not collections like bond had.

Thinking back there was a weirdo group that were y2k crazy, got in shoot out with the cops I think they killed themselves instead of face the law. Assholes with ak47s just about the same all over the world.

Mmmmm,potatoes

There's a big gun culture in Texas and Oklahoma..I remember my cousin(who was like 8 at the time) getting a real crossbow for his birthday!

You gotta have a lot of money to have a bunch of guns shipped from Scotland to Idaho..but anyone who can afford a arsenal of guns can definitely afford the price of having them sent over here.

The gun laws were tightened up here following the Dunblane and Hungerford massacres, but it's still not a case of "own a gun and its off to jail". Bond is in the secret service and a former military man, while his father was a sales rep for an armaments company, so the idea of either of them having a collection of guns isn't that far-fetched.

A collection as part of estate makes more sense, serviceman trust me nobody gives a vet a break on anything.
People I talked to about guns in the uk made it sound like a nightmare unless you had the money.

Ok if "bond" had an estate and all kinds of valuables why was driving a freaking ford focus in CR and why did he act like an untrained baboon instead of someone raised with an ounce of refinement. If this place and the old man had meant anything to him why didn't quantum go after them when bond became a problem?????,

It was a Ford Mondeo, and it was a hire car to drive from the airport, not Bond's own personal car. You did know that, right?

More or less the same car over here I believe. That's my point it's a car he didn't need, a better car would of been suited to the task.

We had to assume this "young" agent could afford a better car, this poor young agent just starting, broke traveling on his credit cards. Same deal with the db5 he got lucky in a poker game wining the iconic car because he couldn't afford it.

Well, even the name doesn't sound right. I mean come on, Skyfall being named after the bond family estate? Yeah, right. What next? Bond gets to Springfield and they call the movie Operation Springfield? All I can do is facepalm. And I'm still not talking about how godawful the script and the helm was...
