What a troll. :D This from the person who said he hoped Brosnan did not leave and said on the old MI6 Forum LTK and DAD are as good as each other just different types of movies. :D

So you and Sweeney keep saying, but Brosnan's run didn't radically redefine Bond for the benefit of people who don't like Bond films. The worst you could say about it was that it represented a fallow period, and there was no reason to suppose that future films wouldn't be better. Skyfall's success all but guarantees that Bond will remain a "gnarled. potato-faced bruiser haunted by his past" for the next 20 or 30 years, whoever plays him, and that the films will all be trying to replicate Skyfall rather than Goldfinger.
I don't see that much difference between the early Connery films and Skyfall. It is far closer than DAD ever was.

I never said I was one of them. I did enjoy DAD in theaters, I won't lie about that. It was better than the incredibly dull TND and TWINE for sure, but it hasn't exactly aged well since. It was like the same experience I had with the Star Wars prequels, enjoying it initially during the hype but then DVD viewings later I started to see the flaws.

As for LTK, I probably enjoyed that one for the longest time until a recent viewing I found it depressing and cheap, despite my appreciation of Dalton. I used to hate LALD years ago, now I enjoy it. I used to rank QOS at #8, now after a recent viewing it has dropped to #16.

In short, opinions change when sensibilities change over time. Katied went to see CR five times, then months later claimed it was the worst. We can't all be consistent with what we like all the time.
