Skyfall is a generic 'Bond song' that I would give a C+ for effort. At least it's not Madonna / DAD. The plus it has is the Bond theme is used as a shadow. Other than that, it's an easy song to write. There's nothing original about it. It's not YOLT, which is a great song period, and a great Bond song. I also don't care much for Adelle's voice. I did hear the almost-Bond theme by "Blondie" Debbie Harry. That's a good song; I like Blondie. DH said the Bond producers wanted only her, but she said the other band members would have to be in, so she said no. Class. Also, from that era, The Pretenders would probably have been able to write a fine Bond song. Too bad the songwriting nowadays doesn't cut it.
