I see with the cutbacks Bond can't even afford a Taxi, so has to run to meetings.
I too found it Dull, It wouldn't entice me to go and see it. With so many good Films this year
this looks Boring.

Saw this on BBC Breakfast this morning. Babs Bialystock and Michael G Bloom were on there to promote it, but sadly, I had to leave for a doctor's appointment :( I was gutted, as you can imagine. _.///

So just the usually arthouse pouty crap going on in this film, is that trailer supposed to get Me hyped?, if you want to hype someone make a d**n trailer like the avengers and the hobbit, this was thrown together on the fly and looks just as inspired.

Get jeremy kyle out of bond :cuss:, this bond films as dead as the actors career trying to do another one, Brosnans films got Me hyped because they had that certain caliber like the bond films of old, hot bond girl check, despicable villain who wants to destroy the world or used to be an ally check, awesome gadgets and q and moneypenny check, no mid life crisis psychological bs check, no falling in love with the women (exc ohmss) check, finally no monkey with the wooden acting of keanu reeves check.

Something I threw up after a heavy night looks more interesting then skyfall.

Lol the scene where someone walked away from a burning building looked like it was ripped directly out of the dark knight when the joker blows up that block of hospitals and walks off in the same way, only difference is this scene is at night

I flipped between Sky and BBC NEWS 24 all morning from about half nine and they didn't mention the trailer once.

I was thinking that too. I hope that was library music and not an actual sample of Thomas Newman's score. But then I hoped that Skyfall was just a working title....

From the official 007 Twitter feed:
Bond at Cannes: Bérénice Marlohe will introduce #SKYFALL trailer at the Salle BUNUEL in the Palais de Festival (5th Floor), starts at 9:45pm
Notice how they capitalise BUNUEL. Shows the company they want to keep (in their dreams).

The ludicrous shaveing scene is enough for me to never see it. It's a bad idea on paper and worse watching play out. That's supposed to be Ian Fleming's James Bond? Right tell me another one.

I agree 100% about the music. If they wanted to get us excited all they had to do is after the mgm lion roared have a proper looking Bond come on screen like this... :007: then q the 007 theme song witha good explosion or stunt. :martini:
no bond theme again?
this feels less like a Bond movie than the last 2

I love the orgasmic reaction this sh---y teaser is getting on the other Bond forums. Commander Bond and MI6 I expect, but even the Bond and Beyond people have gone through several pairs of pants wetting themselves with excitement.

I think this is key to how Babs and company have been able to foist Craig on us for three movies now. Some people are so needy for new James Bond stuff that EON could put a monkey in a suit onscreen, add the 007 gun logo, and these fanboys and fangirls would wet themselves with excitement.

Still, I really don't care what the fanboys think. Sorry to say this, but I hate most of my fellow Bond fans at the moment (no one on this board, obviously). They claim to know and love the classic Bond movies and to read Fleming, and yet they fall for this crap EON is feeding us. They clearly sold their brains to those people who steal people's kidneys . . .

What matters is how the average Joe or Jane views this trailer. Will those people who sometimes go to Bond films go to this one? Because they're where the huge grosses come from. The fanboys will go no matter what (there's a fellow on Bond and Beyond who makes me laugh. He hates Craig, and yet says he'll watch Spyfail "at least 5 times" in the theater :x . The fool doesn't seem to realize that he's helping to subsidize the very product he claims to hate). But if the average person watches this teaser and has the same reaction we do, then EON is in trouble. Big trouble.

What I don't get is how anyone can get excited for something that clearly looks like crap, smells like crap and was thrown together so quickly, how can such a boring trailer get positive responses, bond's done nothing the past decade but pout, moan about his life and that's it, why is crap like that so captivating to audiences?, bond sitting on a couch talking to a psychiatrist clearly film of the year material not a massive snooze fest at all _./// .

A trailer should get your attention, get you interested not make you fall to sleep, I think at this rate instead of parents using books to get kids to sleep they just need to pop in a daniel craig film instead, his voice is so wooden and boring, where's the positive energy that's supposed to be projected, you're a secret agent, outside of people trying to kill you, you pretty much get to go anywhere, meet hot women, drive cars with incredible gadgets, drink martinis and look like a badass in a tuxedo, atleast enjoy it.

I just don't get it, the world is in a bad place as it is, grittiness is everywhere, should it be in some films ofc but hollywoods need to make everything so serious just makes a lot of it come across as humerous now, sorry for bringing up avengers again but films like that are definetly what we need more of, movies should be fun, entertaining esp bond films, bond was something you could watch if you wanted action, hot women, gadgets, over the top villains and it was a successful formula, why oh why eon kept thinking it was a good idea to throw away most of the winning ingredients that kept the franchise strong for 40 years and doing this is beyond Me, sure I like some grit in a bond film but not so much that he may as well be eating it and having his face rubbed in it.

QOS is the bigger problem.Does this distance itself from QOS or Bond more. Will QOS going to be forgiven when people see Craig looking just as miserable in the SF poster as the QOS poster and the trailer isn't very Bondian?

From what little we saw, Craig (especially with the final line) looks more at lease in the role, with a hint of smile. Apart from the down-and-out stuff at the beginning, I'm guessing we'll be seeing a Bond who enjoys his work. Although the music wasn't very "Bondian" I thought the look of the many of the sequences (i.e. the Shanghai skyscraper and Macau casino) gave off a sense of class and the benign bizarre. That touch of the surreal that's been missing in Bond for far too long.

At first, I thought this trailer was so boring that it might as well have been a clip showcasing the history of Armitage Shank toilets (the 2006 & 2008 designs are real crappers  ), but it comes off even worse when compared to those teasers in oscartheman's post.
