This is goin to be one to miss. If they are talking about how depressed Ian Fleming stories were already then what they are doing is going much further dark than they have gone before.

Mendes has to justify why he's slumming it and making a Bond film. It's sort of like Woody Allen making Robocop 4.

we could end up with Spike Lee or M. Night Shyamalan for Bond 24, I wouldn't be suprised by anything Eon would do.
