True! But this particular one seems to come from reliable sources as well, not just the lowlife gossip ones. I just hope it's not true. Because if it is, we're in a lot of trouble. :gun:

Everyone wants a fresh start and a jolly good Bond movie not another entry in the mind numbing origin story.
As I said on another thread, what EON needs is a coup. Kinda like what's going on in Egypt right now

This is eon

Is that Gerard freaking Butler? ANOTHER actor who could have been a decent Bond and was never considered, of course. Not that he would be anywhere near as good as Hugh Jackman and Henry Cavill, but he would still be a HELL of a lot better than the one who looks like anything but Bond.
To quote Desi Arnaz, they're gonna have a lot of 'splainin to do!
LOL Katie, that would be correct!

That's the only excuse they can use for giving us an entire movie without the slightest trace of James Bond in it. At the end, in the final minute, he finally becomes Bond. Except he of course doesn't and the next movie starts off with no Bond until the final minute. Repeat ad libitum.

I sure could have lived with Butler as Bond, too. He CAN pull off the charm and he is hot. He's nowhere near as classy (or as good-looking in my opinion) as Henry Cavill or Hugh Jackman, but he sure is an attractive, charming man. And he's got the Bond looks, unlike the NO Bond who becomes Bond at the end of each movie that we are put through now.

It's annoying that Casino Royale was a success as it has given Eon the go ahead to make several crappy continuation movies with Craig playing his Chuck Norris rookie evolving "Bond".

Gerry Butler would have been a wonderful Bond.

CR would have been a "success" even with Mickey Mouse in it as the lead, because it was the new Bond movie coming with much fanfare, so people just went to check it out, the end. I maintain, just like I did back then, that critics were on CRACK when they evaluated the movie. It's the most boring Bond movie EVER. And it's a NON Bond movie. Sorry, never for a second bought the hype. And I saw it twice back then, just to make sure it wasn't my fault for not grasping the real awesomeness there. It wasn't me, there's no awesomeness whatsoever, and no James Bond. The second viewing worsened matters, it didn't improve them

 crappy continuation movies is about the right definition. Quite too generous, but fitting nevertheless

Chuck Norris rookie evolving "Bond" is one of the best ones I've read
