Kurylenko 'would love Bond girl return'

Post by CaptainLewis »

Quantum Of Solace star Olga Kurylenko has revealed that she would love to reprise her Bond girl character in another film.

The actress, who played agent Camille Montes in last year's blockbuster, told The Mirror that she would not turn down the opportunity to appear alongside Daniel Craig for a second time.

"It won't be for me to decide," she said. "But I'd go for it because last year was so much fun. Why would I refuse the fun again?"

However, the Ukrainian-born star admitted that training for the movie had been tough, saying: "Outside of work, I've done nothing daring, though. I don't even go on rollercoasters. In character, you have to work through the fear and the nausea.

"To be a Bond girl you need courage, charm, determination and feistiness."

The 29-year-old added: "I'm a different Bond girl for two reasons. I don't die, and I don't sleep with James. It is cool."

Me neither, though I suppose it would be nice for her to get a chance to be a Bond girl in a better movie.

What's Olga on about saying that she is a different Bond girl because she "does not die"? Most of the other Bond girls are alive at the end!

She must be thinking of the "sacrificial lambs" who are a long-established element of the Bond formula, from Jill Masterson onwards.

The fact that they had to reuse something from an old Bond film, and then referred to it as an "homage" screams "we've run out of ideas" ,IMO.

I was just thinking that.
TWINE had the Bond girl dies but then she was the bad guy as well, even in CR the girl was part the the bad guys op.

I can think of only 2 or 3 off the top of my head who died adn were "good" Bond girls, His wife comes to mind first. Paris Carver, but again w/ bad guy ties. Jill Masterson was tragic because she was essentially a office temp killed off for misplacing paper clips.
