Slumdog Millionaire's Freida Pinto has been linked to a role in the next James Bond movie.
According to The Sun, Pinto, 24, is being targeted by the franchise's executive producer Barbara Broccoli.
"Freida came to the attention of the Bond team when they were casting Quantum Of Solace," said a source.
"She was too young at the time to have a part as a love interest for a secret agent. But she has blossomed into an incredibly stunning young woman and would look perfect on Daniel Craig's arm."
Slumdog Oscar-winner Danny Boyle was linked to the new 007 movie earlier this month, but later ruled out ever working on the spy film.
Curious. Both the Slumdog director and actress have denied any Bond aspirations.
March 17, 2009, (Sawf News) - 'Slumdog Millionaire' director Danny Boyle is not directing the next Bond film and Indian hottie Freida Pinto is not acting in it, as was widely reported.
"I'm a big Bond fan but I won't be directing one, no," Boyle said at Activision First Light Movie Awards in London.
Earlier, while speaking to an Indian TV channel, Pinto denied she had been asked to take a screen test for the next Bond film
"Those were the days when we still associated Bond with suave, old school actors such as Sean Connery and Roger Moore,"
"Daniel didn't have a hint of suave about him," - Patsy Palmer
Boyle's smart for saying no/denying that he is going to direct Bond 23. I'm amazed that the director/actress rumors for Bond 23 are starting this early, though.
