On our facebook page Nick wrote have Bond follow the beer on to screen during the gunbarrel sequence

I wonder if Bond will order his Henieken from the bar, or get a few in a plastic bag from
the local off licence and drink it in a local park, Perhaps washed down with a bottle of
the finest Buckfast.

Too kind by half, seriously I've been laughing out loud since Kirs started the whole thing.
I'm slightly afraid we might be a little too on target with the recent news.

Pull a half empty bottle from the rubbish bin?

I can just see the last scene of the movie; roof top, Eve handing M's ashes to Bond, Union Flag waves proudly against the piercing blue sky. Her majesty's most loyal secret terrier is back, Bond walks down to the car park with M's urn in hand he has trouble getting the car keys out of his super narrow Tom Ford suit pants so he unceremoniously deposits the wooden box cremation urn and all in the rubbish receptacle on level five of the parking structure, we hear the car alarm beep, yellow light flashes, the sound of a car door opening and shutting, then the sound of the car driving off, the camera never leaves the rubbish bin, credits roll soundlessly like when Adric died.

 I thought you were about to have a concessions cart full of ice cold Henieken roll into M's office. Suppose Bond will try to pick up Severn by offering her "a cold one"

I have to admire how Johnny English did it with Toshiba "Spying for you"

Chapter 13 is up.

For some reason I felt compelled to steal lines from Lionel Hutz Attorney at Law :|

How's about this twist for [glow=red]GoldenEye[/glow] starring Daniel Craig. :007:
Alec Trevelyan: We're both orphans, James. But while your parents had the luxury of dying in a climbing accident, mine were betrayed by the British, sent to Stalin's execution squads. MI6 figured I was too young to remember. And in one of life's little ironies, the son went to work for the government whose betrayal killed his father and mother. Same as you James.

James Bond: ?

Alec Trevelyan: It wasn't fate who orphaned you! It was the government setting in motion events they failed to predict!

James Bond: Am I supposed to feel sorry for you?

Alec Trevelyan: No. You're supposed to feel sorry for yourself.

[pause]

Alec Trevelyan: And, by the way, I did think about asking you to join my little scheme but somehow I knew, 007's loyalty was always to the mission, never to his friend. Unless I could find proof of their treachery. And I have it James.

James Bond: I don't believe you!

[Slides a dossier to Bond, Bond picks it up and reads it]

Alec Trevelyan: It was M James.

[Bond raises his gun shooting a British sniper in the shadows sent to kill Alec]

Alec Trevelyan: [walks towards Bond] For England, James?

James Bond: No. For us. And all the orphans created by the government.

Alec Trevelyan: Closing time, James! Last call!
:P

Severine walks in?

I've got a few ideas. Chang brings Eve Severine's name after she checks in because all M had was a photo, Eve checks Severine's facebooks and find she is recently single and looking for a new lover. One who knows how to treat a lady as a gentleman would. Trying to get Bond to act more like Connery top complete his mission.

To be honest, I hadn't thought that far ahead :D I figured ending the chapter that way could be my attempt at the "Fleming Sweep" to keep readers going to the next chaper. Severine coming in would be a good way to start the next chapter.

Possibility: She could come in with her bodyguards and a fight breaks out. Somehow, the refrigerator full of Heineken gets smashed, bringing a tear to Bond's eye, yet *another* reminder of how he was unable to escape his spy life. Thus, it is not mere product placement, but it makes Heineken, excuse me Heineken (R), a character in the story, as vital and important as any other.

EDIT: Hmmm, that last line sounds like something Marc Forster would say on the Quantum of Solace DVD extras. Brrrr..... :D

I have a few ideas I want to try, may not work out. It will either come together or fall apart........ horribly. Shaky cam, camera cutting to the guy driving a lorry who looks exactly like Daniel during the opening kind of bad. Flipping a guy off a motorcycle, free falling without a parachute... Well you get the idea.

Come to think of it this is the philosophy behind how Barbara's EON makes moves. :? either it will be brilliant or else we still sell enough tickets to act like we gave the audience what they wanted :?
