Think Bond Girl and the chances are you’d think sexy, dangerous, empowered…then probably back to sexy. Unless you’re new Bond Girl Naomi Harris that is.

There’s no denying that Naomie is a great actress, and stunning to boot – but her choice of dress for the 23rd Bond film press conference is anything but stunning.

Yes it’s a classic cut. Yes, it’s well tailored and neutral and pretty in a soft pink hue kind of way. But Bond Girls are never neutral.

Actress and co-star Berenice Marlohe upped the sizzle a little, pouring her curves into a red dress – then ruined it all with a safe pair of courts.

We’re not saying Bond Girls should bare all in thigh-high slit dresses, stripper heels or micro-minis – we’re well beyond all that - but style can still feel dangerous, however low your hemline.

Naomie’s strappy heels hint at the dramatic, daring dresses that have made her a regular fashion favourite in the past - she's long been known for her Louis Vuitton frothy shoulder pads, metallic Mulberry gowns and sheer (SHEER!) Valentino frocks.

So, let’s put it down to first photocall nerves. Then pray for something with a bit more flair next time.

We’d hate for Naomie’s fashion stats to fall as flat as the film’s name has.
