Post by JackWade CIA »

James Bond -
Daniel Craig (not opposed to a new actor)
Bond girl - Megan Fox
Bond villain - Gary Oldman
Bond Ally - Felix Leiter not played by the glum Jeffrey Wright. Someone more like David Boreanaz.
Directed by - Brett Ratner
Written by - Michael France and Bruce Feirstein
Title song - Duffy
Brief story outline -Bond is working with the CIA in Columbia, basic anti drug story. A prominent British family working as missionaries are captured by rebels and Bond takes it upon himself with the help of Felix Leiter to rescue them. Once the family is successfully rescued in a action packed fight sequence featuring Q branch gadgets for the first time, the duo find evidence of classified Russian equipment.

Believing they are on to something much bigger they follow the evidence to a frontier Russian base when an unknown organization has been trading drugs for access to classified equipment. After sneaking on to the base and getting to close for comfort to the source Bond and Felix are captured. Bond has to think quick, judging that the Base Commander is a honest man and trusting his instinct he convinces the commander to trade their freedom for the rat in his ranks who is betraying his soldiers to drugs. Bond has to use his brain and gather the clues drawing on what he knows and what the commander confides he narrows it down to the Major in charge of the motor pool. Under arrest the Major is given enhanced integration and begins to break, just before he spills all he knows 2 of his 6 cohorts blow a whole in the wall of the detention center the explosion kills the Russian interrogators. Bond and Felix are dazed but unharmed. The motor Pool Major wants to take revenge on Bond for ruining a good thing. Sounds of a intense fire fight can be heard from the across the base as the Base Commander, who did not have the stomach to view the integration, rallies his men to keep the other 4 cohorts of the Motor Pool Major from successfully stealing the vehicles and shooting their way out. The Motor Pool Major has a dazed Bond at his mercy, he then taunts Bond by telling him the last shipment went out tonight and he is too late. Felix shoots and kills 1 of 2 the cohorts who blew a whole in the wall of the detention center, Felix then wings the Motor Pool Major giving Bond just long enough to break free. In the ensuing struggle he deflects an leaping attack from the Major and the Major falls against an unstable section of wall that then collapses on top of him. Killing the Major. By the time Bond is done with his battle with the Major Felix had finished off the last cohort and the Base Commander has defeated the other conspirators. The Base Commander now trusts Bond and gives him the tracking number for the only package he can't identify as a having a legitimate military purpose on last the last plane to leave the base. The Commander also send along his best man to help, the base intelligence office aka Bond Girl.

Bond Bond Girl and Felix follow the package to the middle east to a former Israeli Mossad agent who is the equivalent of Bond's Q. The evil Mossad Q bugs out before Bond and company get there, but the left over electronics alarm them. Q is flown in and gives it all a through going over and tells them that at a minimum 3 miniature nuclear devices have been built as well as a scary array of other electronics that in close proximity to the right systems will compromise the national security of every nation. Even the best encrypted secrets. Q tells them based on the circuitry he suspects the devices are mimics of a new up and coming Chinese electronics company who's products are supposed to the equivalent or better of the latest western fads. Something similar to Ipod, Iphones..

One of Q's helpers puts together that at the world economic summit, about to take place in London, the Chinese are giving items like these away to almost every government official attending as a way of showing off their emerging technology sector. Q's helper put those facts together because he was annoyed to be pulled away from the English delegation to come to the Middle East with Q. He was annoyed because he wanted to get his hands on the new Chinese devices but now he is concerned because any of those compromised devices will quickly strip and transmit the classified data moments after they are in the same room as any government laptop. No government is safe. He also recalls that there were bigger items being shipped directly to the attendees home or government office. Q suspect those items will be the nuclear devices. Bond Bond Girl and Felix work to alert their governments and the Chinese.

The Chinese give them a trail to follow on the nuclear devices based on a blackmail attempt from unknown organization, represented by a black octopus but no initials. Unless China pays the unknown organization 600 Billion Euro they threaten to viciously sabotage the nations that China has invested heavily in by buying up those nations debt. Attacking those nations will make the debt China bought worthless, severely crippling China as a result. China narrows the 3 target countries down to United Arab Emirates, United States, England. Felix and Q's helper rush off to catch a express flight to Washington DC to defuse the one of the nukes, the Chinese send their team to the UAE for the second, Bond Bond Girl and Q rush to London to stop the altered electronic devices and the last nuke.

Bond and company arrive at 10 Downing Street moments before the item, a plasma TV maybe, is delivered. Q steals the delivery truck using one of his gadgets. Q Bond and Bond Girl rush to the conference center where the other devices have been gathered. Parking in the under basement Q defuses the nuke, Bond assisting by following Q's every command. After the nuke is secured harmless Q turns his attention to the electronic devices, now held in room where they can not send out a signal. Q cleverly tricks one of the devices to reveal the trigger frequency and then traces it back to a computer in Paris, France near the Eiffel Tower. Bond is sent to subdue the culprits.

The villain unaware that his network has been rumbled and is shocked to find a agent he knows is an British 00 agent in his office. He taunts Bond with this knowledge. The villain's goons gain the time they need to surprise Bond. With Bond out of the picture for a moment the villain rushed to a hidden room to complete his mission and set of the nukes. Bond kills the goons and realizes what the villain is up to. The danger is too great. In case Felix and the Chinese team have not disabled the nukes Bond devises a destructive plan to get in the hidden room using only things on hand. Once in the hidden room Bond coldly shoots the villain. Bond is surprised to find the dying villain grateful, saying Bond saved him the pain of a "hideous death" for failing to perform his duty. Bond presses him to help him by telling what he knows. The villain chuckles darkly as he coughs blood moments from death and tells Bond sincerely that if he is going after them he wishes Bond luck. Bond realizes as the villain dies that he liked the man even though he was a "bad guy".

Story wraps up in the traditional way with Bond and Q dressed down by M for the destruction they caused on three continents and then congratulated for job well done. Movie ends by cutting to Bond in bed with the stunning Bond Girl in the luxurious sleeping car of a slow train to Russia.

I know that was not exactly a brief story outline.

Is Craig the only problem?

Post by JackWade CIA »

Thanks

Your Risico has more meat on the bones and a specific purpose to accomplish. My drabble is a lose outline that could be fitted to almost any Bond. I got no ideas on how to introduce Moneypenny again. That is one of the problem with the reboot. Since there was no Moneypenny in Casino Royale or Quantum of Solace it then becomes increasingly difficult to bring her in later. Q is easy. He just shows up.

I like the idea of starting with a drugs job as Fleming had in his stories and move on to something more exciting and bigger on the world stage. I missed that traditional element from Craig's two movies. I didn't feel the world was any better off after Casino Royale and I knew it wasn't better off with Quantum of Solace in the theaters ;)

Hey, no probs. I enjoyed reading your outline and think it would make a good film. By the way, I posted my Risico on alt.fan.james-bond where some fairly major problems with the story were identified, such as the lack of a good reason for Bond to be suspicious of Moneypenny beyond the fact that she's new. It's clear the outline would need work before it became a fully-fledged screenplay.

Does he need a "good reason"? She is a woman, his 90 days of experience as a spy suggest that all women are dangerous and this Bond trusts no one but M. The secret service is infiltrated and overrun with traitors. It would be a natural evolution of Bond as played by Craig to be suspicious of anyone suddenly close to M and maybe anyone and everyone new to the service.

I say 90 days as a spy since Casino and Quantum are separated so thinly. The hospital stay in Casino may account for most of Bond's time in the service.

Bond as he evolved from Dr No to Die Another Day had been betrayed by people he trusted in the service. From lovers to best friends. Perhaps a Bond at the start of his spycraft distrustful of Moneypenny, a woman he later trusts implicitly, is a nice balance for the later betrayals by people he considered close to him.

The Hildebrand Rarity
James Bond: Craig I suppose, purely for the Mr. White trilogy (But since QOS, he has become happy more like Moore and Brosnan, instead of a psychopath)
Bond girl: Shilpa Shetty
Villain: Mr. White
Directed by: James Cameron
Written by: Basic Unused Ian Fleming story, with a bits filled in
Title song: The Hildebrand Rarity by Leona Lewis
Brief story outline: Mr White is planning to wipe out half of Asia, as he believes their is coal or oil stored under there and he is planning to monopolise the industry. White has plans of world domination, by taking Asia and setting up proxy goverments. Then with Asia under his control, he plans to take over the world because he is evil. Bond joins Shilpa on the boat, where Mr. White has masked looking for the rare fish, with the plan to put a bomb on a fault line ala Zorin. In the end he gets stopped and White and Bond have an fight with Katana swords, for some reason. In the end White gets stopped and killed. Bond and Shilpa sail off into the sunset. The end.

In this White is the spawn of satan and he is really evil.

James Bond will return in Risico (without Craig).

I'm actually working on my own Hildebrand Rarity as a follow up to my Risico.
